"Very nice. I visited with my partner on Saturday evening. It was busy, but they appeared to be coping well. The atmosphere was nice, but with a strange mix of music, which at times sounded like it would be better placed on cbeebies. Not distracting though, just odd. The food was very nice, but each course was just slightly off being perfect. For example, to start, the ratio of pate to bread was off...either more bread or less pate needed. For main, the rind on the pork could have been crispier throughout or just removed, rather than being sticky and chewy on one side, and for dessert, the bread and butter pudding didn't need to be so big. It was all very tasty, be could just do with being refined a little. Staff were very friendly and made it a very pleasant experience."

"Myself and my Mom popped in today for a light lunch. We haven’t been in a while but the transformation from coffee lounge to restaurant is fantastic. Lovely and spacious with beautiful views through beautiful, large windows. The food was beautiful and fresh and customer service was excellent. Tom came over to ask us how we were enjoying our food and gave us so much information about where their meat fish is sourced, also explaining how the food changes daily as they serve seasonal produce. Such a refreshing change to speak to somebody who is clearly very passionate about providing customers with high quality, locally sourced food. Even the artwork on the walls was painted by a local artist. We will definitely be returning to sample your dinner menu and Sunday roast. We paid a visit to the Farm Shop before returning home where we were greeted with a massive, cheerful “hello” and a beaming smile from behind the meat counter. We couldn’t resist the rib eye steak and pork belly. The latter is now cooking nicely in the oven verdict to follow . Thank you for making our day so enjoyable."

"Thursday night is steak and drink night, so all 4 of us decided to have Rump and a drink. The rump for all was excellent, so we all decided to have desserts as well. 3 had the cheesecake, which in a way isn't a cheesecake, as it has a soft base, but all agreed was delicious. The other had the apple crumble and was also delicious. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Will definitely be going again."

"3 rd visit to this restaurant with the current owners. Both previous times very good attentive service and excellent food. However on this occasion although food excellent as always the service was far worse . Restaurant was very busy with a one large party. Order was taken promptly and although there was a longer wait for food I could understand that. However after the plates were cleared I was expecting to be offered face wipes not offered! Also no one asked if we would like any dessert or coffee! One person behind the counter seemed more interested in chatting to a pair of dubious looking guys who were drinking at the bar. Customer service was not great and eventually managed to pay the bill and left. I’m afraid that I am not planning to return based upon the customer service on this occasion and would certainly not recommend it to anyone. Sad really as the food was excellent!"

"excellent eating with great service and views I am twice for lunch here and can not blame it. the first time I had the shredded duck pancakes that were really good, Chinese restaurant quality and a large portion size. the duck was beautiful and crispy with not much fat, and the plant sauce was very delightful. the second time I had the ale battered fish chips, huge fish that tasted as good, if not better than my local chip stores fish. the teig was really light and tasteful and the chips were divine....krispy on the outside, while always so soft and damp on the inside. the service was before place, could not mistake it, very attentive and friendly. the view from the back of the restaurant was beautiful, very rural."
