"Visited for a take out having looked at the options online. Since the nearby Good Earth has closed I think Wok Star and one other are the only options in Haslemere. The food seemed decent and freshly cooked, nothing fancy but what you’d expect. Premises clean. Parking nearby a potential issue especially early on a Saturday evening. The only real downside was that they were very busy, on our visit, with waiting times anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour, but I suppose being busy is perhaps a good sign rather than a bad one?"

The only chinese takeaway I know of in the haslemere godalming area with a full marks 5 out of 5 food hygiene rating, so you know you can eat here and expect to wake up the next day.

Portion sizes good. Reasonable value for money. Good range of food but I guess that's similar to most Chinese takeaways. Have tried the others locally and this is the best. Can get quite busy on a Saturday evening, so don't expect a 15 minute turnaround on orders.

Great place. The rice portions are ooh yes size. Great place and only one i use in the area just due to the great chicken fried rice portion lol simple but i like. OK May 2024, still go here, great chicken fried rice and chicken curry, free bag of prawn crackers, rice and curry has lots of chicken breast in them. Why I still go here. 5 Voir le carte

I was in on a hot day, so there where inevitably a lot of flies about outside. As I came in to pick up my order a fly came in through the door. The lady at the counter squashed it with her hand, took my money, went into the kitchen end brought out my food! The food itself is even worse than the hygiene, greasy, chewy and quite sickening.

I ordered takeout from this restaurant for the first time tonight. Unfortunately, it wasn't great. I should have checked my order at the restaurant because it was missing some items when I got home. They need to pay more attention when packing orders. The food was not very good, not terrible but bland with not much flavor. It's a shame because the name of the restaurant is really cool.
