"I really regret to write this as I am in support of local businesses and in particular, dog friendly establishments. I visited Sunday afternoon and despite receiving polite, friendly, efficient service from the two staff behind the bar, it was clear they were rushed off their feet, trying to achieve an impossible task, serving drinks and meals to an extremely busy pub inside and outside. I ordered 3 'small plate dishes ' and waited over an hour for the food to arrive, only to be extremely disappointed and shocked by what was provided. Not only were the portions tiny, there was a serious mis representation of the description on the menu. In comparison, I was in Hebden Bridge last week and ordered 3 similar small dishes for only 50p more and the quality, size, taste and presentation was far superior. For a relatively new refurbished establishment in Accrington, I would expect better. Such a shame and a let down!"

We go to this pub occasionally for lunch they have a good team and tell you when your going to be served if there busy genuine hosts would recommend this pub

Excellent hospitality from the publicans. The pub was clean, tidy and had a pleasant layout with a suitable range of products including 0% beers. A great venue. Highly recommended.

Called in for dinner adhoc tonight was pleasantly surprised. Lovely welcomig pub, great atmosphere food was amazing, arrived without too much of a wait was really tasty good value for money. Will definitely be back

here with family for Sunday dinner. good menu with much to choose. has child menu for smaller portions. bier was good. Eating was excellent. pool table and cozy real fire. many free parking. the staff is friendly and helpful.

Wonderful warm reception, arrived 3pm had drinks then ordered food, freshly cooked and hot followed by coffee. Service very good but not too attentive. Slightly slopping car park but not a problem for us, enjoyed stop will call again...

Birthday meal worst in my life ciabatta stone cold, 2 slivers of steak. Fraction of cold grated cheese. Very dry could not eat. Nooner asked if meal was ok just came to table 40 minutes later “are you done with ya food” . Poor service poor food, landlord too busy getting rat arsed with customers to give any damn. Wish I’d taken a photo before the attempt to eat but you’d still struggle to spot the steak
