What a disappointing reception. Booked via Open Table. Arrived to find a private wedding taking place. Told they don’t use Open Table anymore. Stupidly one of the owners asked curtly if we had booked the correct restaurant!!! Absolute insult as we are regulars. No apology and no recognition of our previous custom. Won’t be going again!! Obviously just a number. Food: 3

this new restaurant is well worth a try. It 's a relatively small restaurant with a large window into a clean, active kitchen. The welcome was genuine ant the subsequent service attentive but unobtrusive a waiter clearly proud to work with the owners, who themselves served us without declaring their ownership. The food was inventive and tasty, not your normal Indian menu. They deserve to do well. We will definitely return.

Really neat and tidy place. Every last bit of food was delicious, especially the monkfish rezala I had for main, and the waiter gave us both a complimentary drink (as well as being super friendly, helpful, and quick). They are apparently having issues filling up again outside of Thursday to Sunday. Undeserved, really, as it is one of the tastiest versions of this cuisine I have had in Birmingham. I had the pleasure of dining in for dinner, and it was an exceptional experience. The food was outstanding, earning a solid 5 out of 5. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was equally impressive, also deserving a perfect score of 5; the staff was attentive and friendly, making sure our needs were met throughout the evening. Lastly, the atmosphere was delightful, with a warm and inviting ambiance that added to our enjoyment. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a fantastic dining experience!

I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for several years, but it seems that loyalty means very little to them. I made a reservation, yet when we arrived, the owners informed us that they no longer accept walk-ins. I mentioned that we had a booking, but they were dismissive. It turned out there was a private party, which I understood, but when we showed them our booking confirmation, one of the owners sarcastically questioned whether we were at the right place. It felt like he was implying that we were too clueless to know where we had made our reservation, despite being regular customers. I then expressed that this was a racist remark, and I no longer wished to dine at their establishment. As we turned to leave, another staff member called out our surname and confirmed that we indeed had a reservation. Despite there being many empty tables available, we chose to walk away. I refuse to spend my hard-earned money at a place where I feel unwelcome. The incident overshadowed our evening, and it pained me to have to explain such blatant racism to my child, who was in shock over being denied entry. The entire exchange took place at the restaurant's entrance, with a staff member blocking the doorway. On our way home, we received a call from Viceroy asking us to return, stating that...
