"Was pleasantly surprised to see quite a few vegan options on the menu. We ordered the mushroom scallops and the cauliflower wings the presentation of both was lovely but the taste itself was quite disappointing. We both ordered the seitan burger the bun was burnt which really added an unpleasant smell and flavour to the meal, the seitan itself was ok although a little flavourless. When we sat down we were warned food may take a while as.a big party had just sat down. This was ok, but the waiter then actually refused to take our order for a while 'so the kitchen didn 't get stressed '. We thought this was a bit odd we 've already been warned the food may take a while but by not taking our order it definitely felt like the big table took priority over us which is not how customers are meant to feel! (In the end another waitress came over and promptly took our order and the food arrived without delay). Trying to get the bill was also a very slow process."

This was our first place to eat after arriving in Edinburgh. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly so we felt very welcomed as new comers

Stopped by on our way to the Tattoo. The staff were lovely and very attentive. The food was delicious. The fish servings were HUGE. We would definitely eat here agin.

I ordered the miso since then stir fry. it was extremely salty, too much soy sauce and I had to send it back. the second dish that came out was much better and pleasant and filled. it is a bit expensive, but the atmosphere is very beautiful and they donate to help the homeless in edinburgh that is fantastic.

this place is a favorite of me in edinburgh! it is a great place to not take vegan and still have friends and a beautiful meal at the end of it! great vegan and non vegan options that from the charitable organization called social biss, the fantastic work does to help the homeless problem in edinburgh! famous once visited by leonardo dicaprio! I'd give these five stars if it would leave me!

on my last trip to edinburgh I visited vesta twice and enjoyed my experience both paintings. there are a lot of options for everyone and if they have someone who has their nose to eating vegan as I did) it is the best of both worlds if that is what they are looking for, but they need to endure them eating a hunk meat in-front of them as I. it is mainly food vegan, while the “goods” for the carnivores are more on the market, but it serves others. buffalo wings are amazing!

My husband and I (both vegan) visited Social Bite's new restaurant, Vesta, for lunch. We were pleased to see so many vegan options on the menu. We tried the BBQ seitan burger, seitan steak sandwich and garlic fries. The seitan was flavourful and a good texture (neither too dense nor too soft, both of which I've experienced in other restaurants). Both sandwiches were really nice, and messy (in a good way). The fries were just right, fluffy inside and crisp outside. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The decor is good, airy and modern.
