"My wife, our neice and I visited here yesterday for lunch and realised we had found a real gem. From the friendly staff to the plentiful and extremely tasty food we couldn't fault it. I must say it felt a bit like stepping back in time but in a really comfortable way. No superfluous flash here, just honest to goodness traditional tasty food and good old fashioned courteous service. My wife and I had the chicken curry whilst our neice chose the lasagne and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. This was our first visit to the Windsor but it certainly won't be our last. In fact, we're already looking for a reason to pop over to Penarth again. Or maybe we don't need a reason other than to sample some more dishes from this delightful restaurant."

We have visited this restaurant twice now, and both times the staff have been friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are really delicious. The portions are generous, leaving us no room for dessert! Voir le carte

If you find yourself in Penarth, this restaurant is a must-visit. You will not be let down. The food is consistently delicious, hot, and affordable, with a wide variety of choices on the menu. Where else can you enjoy a high-quality full English breakfast, cappuccino, orange juice, and toast for under £9? One of the servers, Kerry, is exceptionally friendly as well. Voir le carte

Don 't bother with the 'All Day Breakfast '. Eggs were not cooked, bacon really tough, poor quality sausages, cheap baked beans (half a plate full), toast was already buttered and soggy. Needless to say I left hungry. When they collected the almost full plates they didn 't even ask if anything was wrong. This must be a regular occurrence for them. I paid the bill in full and left. I certainly wont be returning to this establishment.

We ordered quiche and salad, and I must tell you, this salad was no joke: it had generous portions of coleslaw, beetroot, cucumber, pickled onions, red onion, potatoes, rice, and a delicious quiche. The salad was huge and well worth the price. My only disappointment was that we were too full from the salad to try any of the tempting cakes and desserts we saw when we first sat down. The staff was friendly and efficient. We definitely plan to return soon for coffee and cake.

"I raved about this place in my last review but since then it appears to have changed. Firstly, I cant remember the chairs being so uncomfortable that they had 'scatter ' cushions for you to use if you needed to. Having had back surgery, they made it even worse for me, so did without them in the most uncomfortable chair ever. Now, to the main part of the review. The lovely cakes that I had raved about had disappeared to be replaced by a sorry looking load of bog standard cake. The poor girl who served us was nervous as it was her first day, we ordered pecan pie which came with cream, we asked if its pouring or thick, she had to ask, it was pouring so we asked if we could have ice cream instead, she had to ask. Anyway, we finally ordered our cake and coffee. When she brought the coffee, she spilled half of mine in the saucer and then asked if I wanted a different saucer....duh! she took the offending saucer and the spoon brought a saucer back, no extra serviette to wipe the bottom of the cup and NO SPOON! We were then served the cake and ice cream, which to be fair, was nice, until, halfway through I saw a hair on my friends plate, (she was not wearing her glasses). We knew instantly that it was not either of ours, I have shoulder length hair and her hair was in a bun! We called the poor young lady over and pointed it out, she asked if my friend wanted to change it...duh! Of course she did, she brought another and thankfully my friend shared it with me! The coffee was (flat white) was nice but after that catalogue of events I wont be going back. They do offer a range of snacks/lunches and people did seem to be enjoying them."
