One of the best Pub experiences we had throughout our whole Scotland trip. Service was friendly and excellent. The Highlander has been recommended to me and was very nice. Walked in. Just happened to sit in the wrong part of the pub as we weren’t eating. Shouted at by a lady with dark hair. Told we should have read the bar instructions that am guessing no one reads. Awful attitude. Cocky and arrogant. We walked out. Sorry to leave this review but you could have just told us politely we were in the wrong part of the pub.

Lovely little pub along the main street in Fort William. I was feeling a little under the weather so I chose to go for the soup and toastie set, which turned out to be the most amazing thing I’ve had all trip here in FW. The soup (potato and leek, classic) was so good I ordered a second bowl. My partner had the fish and chips and it was crisp, fresh, and delicious even better than the one I had at The Geographer the day before. Service was real friendly when our server found out we were driving up to Skye, he cheerfully gave us a few tips as well. Overall, it was a lovely time and perfect way to say goodbye to FW!

If you are planning to visit this restaurant for a drink, make sure to sit in the designated area. We were put off by the rude greeting from the woman at the entrance. As soon as we walked in, she aggressively shouted, "Can I help you, can I help you" from across the room. It was clear she was irritated that we did not immediately know where to go. Disappointed by her attitude, we decided to leave and will not be returning. It is important to create a friendly and welcoming environment, especially for customers who are new to the establishment. Simply guiding them to the correct seating area for drinks or food would have sufficed. Voir le carte
