"I dined in for dinner and had a wonderful experience! The food was exceptional, receiving a solid 5 out of 5. The service was also impressive, earning a 4 out of 5 for attentiveness and friendliness. The atmosphere of the restaurant was enjoyable, with a cozy vibe that also received a 4 out of 5. Plus, there's plenty of parking available, making it very convenient. Overall, I highly recommend this place, especially for a meal that falls within the £10–20 price range."

"Several vegan options, all of which are tasty and good value for money. It's all fairly standard fayre except the Thai burger, definitely better than the only other dine-in place nearby (Moorings Hotel) whose veggie options have dwindled year by year into nothing. There's plenty of seating inside The Lochy, as well as four or so outdoor tables. Staff have always been friendly, and there's a separate pub area next to the dining room which has pool and darts, if you fancy a drink and some games after your meal!"

"OH MY WORD!!!!! I think this is probably the best fish restaurant we have EVER been to. We had seen great reviews before our trip to Fort William so booked well in advance thankfully because there would have been no chance of us getting in without a booking and I can see why. I had the Cullen Skink to start and I seriously could have bathed in it!! My husband chose the cod scotch egg which was delicious. However the 1st prize most definitely go to my main course the pan fried Hake with crushed new potatoes, asparagus and crab meat (even typing this is making me hungry! My husband chose fish and chips, we had a bit of banter with the waitress about whether they were gonna beat our Yorkshire fish chips!! They did!! We didn't have dessert as were too stuffed but they looked lovely. Seriously, if you love fish, you HAVE to book a table here enjoy Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"While the food was tasty and steak was cooked to perfection, the horrible service and very long delays in getting served results in a rare 2 star review. Having read gushing positive reviews about this place, my girlfriend and I.. Tourists from out of town decided to stop by. We called and booked a table for 2 at 630pm. We arrived at 620pm and we're promptly seated. The evening is looking great. Then things started to go downhill. It took us 15 mins to get our orders taken..with 2 tables who arrived after us being served first by the pony tailed sole waitresses there. I waved her down and politely informed her we were ready to order, but was told in a somewhat mocking demeanor that she would be right with me. It took her another 10mins to get back to us. The 2 items we wanted to order.. Ribs and and the risotto were not available. No one told us in advance. Big letdown. To add salt to the wound, the one low alcohol beer on the menu also wasn't available. Food took even longer to arrive. We waited 40 mins before both our burger and steak arrived. Though the taste was good and portions were generous, the accompanying sauce was way too little for a steak of that size. Although my cutlery was swapped out to include a serrated knife, my partner wasn't even given a steak knife. She relied on a bread knife to cut her burger. We asked for water and I made it clear we wanted hot water. We were served a water jug with cold water. End of the night, we can't help feeling very frustrated at the quality of service and long food wait times. We weren't the only ones. We noticed other tables too incurred at least 30 min wait times for food. Perhaps we are an Asian couple.. Was this the reason our table was skipped not once but twice in getting orders taken? One can't help but to draw conclusions. Given the chance, we won't be back again. There are many other establishments in the area worth exploring. With hopefully better table service. If you decide to come here, come very early and hopefully you're of the right skin color to receive proper table service that deserves your hard earned money. "Four of us came here for dinner after hiking Nevis. Took 25mins to get our food. Didn’t take photos, but food looked similar to several other reviews here. Cajun chicken was aggressively seasoned, mild spiciness and slightly over cooked but still tasted good. Two people ordered steak stout. Meat was tender and a tad salty. Forth member had the steak pie and said it was savoury and tender! Restaurant seating upstairs was closed. Pub style seating downstairs."
