The White Hart - Carte

Absolutely fantastic pub. Lovely building and welcoming staff. The food was excellent (the stake and the ribs were particulary good) and the wine was great. Highly recommended.

The White Hart has mastered this classic recipe. If it's on the menu, definitely give it a try. The Fish and Chips could use some improvement as the batter was soggy. The service was excellent and even the cat was well-behaved.

What a fantastic find. My daughter took me here for Fathers Day. Beautiful clean welcoming pub with great service. We had the pulled pork burgers for something a little different. WOW! so tasty. Eight of us had lunch on Easter Sunday. Excellent service and delicious food freshly cooked. Everyone enjoyed the choices they had made. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and efficient if they had tried. A lovely welcome and pleasurable few hours spent eating, laughing and celebrating.

We made a point of stopping here for lunch on our cycling trip from Oxford to the New Forest, as we'd stayed overnight at the pub a few years ago and really enjoyed it. We weren't disappointed a perfectly judged steak sandwich and a pint of IPA, then coffee. I was interested to see they have brewed their own beer here in the recent past, though not at present. Will make a point of coming back for an overnight stay soon so we can explore the menu and wine list more fully.

We celebrated a family birthday with 8 people at this restaurant and everyone had an amazing meal. Regardless of what they ordered, all the starters, mains, and desserts were fantastic. The three different options of roast beef (rare, medium, and well done) were all cooked perfectly, with delicious vegetables, tasty roast potatoes, and excellent Yorkshire puddings. We went to the restaurant as a group of four people. I ordered the White Hart burger, two of us had the roast chicken Sunday dinner, and the fourth person had the beef Sunday dinner. The service was a bit slow, but it wasn't a big problem. The young staff members were very pleasant and added to the overall experience. We all agreed that the food was delicious and the portion sizes were good. The pub had a warm and cozy atmosphere that, combined with the food, made for an enjoyable Sunday lunch. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

After a visit to the Living Rainforest nearby, we called for a table and were given a confirmation immediately. On arriving we had a cozy table for 8 in a large room by the side. Fantastic service from the staff. We ordered chicken nuggets and chips for the kids, some cauliflower florets as starters and then a chicken roast, veg chilli and lentil burgers for mains. The food was really delicious. The desserts from the board provided a great choice. The chocolate brownie and honeycomb cheesecake were amazing. A great independent village pub that totally surpassed expectations.

Got to the pub early and found that the table was booked for seven customers, not by me but another family member. Eventually eleven arrived. No problem for the staff who quickly arranged additional seating. Food ordered including roast dinners, burger and various other dishes. All the food arrived at the same time, hot and well presented. We all agreed the food quality was excellent. The staff in my opinion were great and dealt with the situation in a professional manner and throughout gave us excellent service. Well done to all staff at this pub who clearly have a can do attitude when confronted with problems that need resolving. Voir le carte
