The Travellers' Rest

Excellent meal. Lovely food. Vicky was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble! Amazing service will definitely recommend!

Just visited Travellers Rest for lunch. Excellent meal and service. It s refreshing to find a pub restaurant that serves good pub grub of high quality at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend tp anyone.

Mozzarella stick starter was very delicious, would recommend it far more than the terrine. Liked the mains, especially the lasagna where the portion was great. All the sides were large portions which was great. Good service. Voir le carte

We had a family meal but for a Saturday evening they had half the menu off so very limited choice, no excuse not to have simple items available, it’s like the management don’t want to run a pub or serve food, the food that we...had was disappointing and over priced. Shame

Had a table booked for but due to poor weather found ourselves available an hour earlier than expected. Rang and the lady was very accommodating needless to say she changed the booking to an hour earlier. The staff and the whole visit was very...good. Good food and very kind.

Stopped off for a quick bite on a long drive, food looked and tasted fine, ordered a chicken baguette which as an added bonus came with a free hair included within! When explained to the waiter they apologised which is fine however didn't come across...as particularly sincere. Voir le carte

I visited the Traveller’s Rest last night for dinner with my boyfriend and another couple. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and were patient with us when choosing our orders. We all had main courses and desserts and everything that was served was of excellent standard. The strawberry cheesecake was particularly light and delicious. We cannot wait to return to try some of the other options on the menu!

On a very rare child free night, we had a absolutely lovely date night at the Travellers Rest. All the staff were warm, friendly and welcoming and the food was beautiful!!! I had the roasted chicken breast with bacon and mushroom sauce and new potatoes...and vegetables, it was elegant to look at and tasted amazing. My other half had a steak which he declared was the best he'd had in a very long time. Next time we go (as we'll definitely be back), I'll be having one of their milkshakes for pudding as the staff told me all about them and they sounded amazing... I wanted one tonight but I'd already broken my diet with my meal so had to behave somewhere haha. Voir le carte
