"Lovely warm welcome and the place feels very welcoming. Went with parents and brother, two had liver they thoroughly loved it, one had the special blade of beef. I found the lunch menu a bit restricted for me as I’m not such a traditional eater. So I had the lamb and mint burger which was delicious, thoroughly disappointed with coleslaw and the mayonnaise to go with my chips. The mayonnaise I was told is vegan and dairy free (both I understand but I need neither) and lacked taste which then made my fries disappointing as I love a good mayonnaise. My personal view. Two had crumble looked good and generous portions. My hot chocolate was very good."

Fabulous afternoon tea and great service. Good choice of sandwiches, posset, beautifully light scones and a huge slice of cake.

Arrived an hour early but not a problem even though they were extremely busy. Great service and great food. We would highly recommend.

Wow, the full breakfast was great, lovely selection of food and good quality. Service was amazing and could not fault any part of our experience.

A lovely place to pop in to for a light lunch or even a special occasion. A very nice menu of local produce to choose from. My only gripe is that things can be a little over priced

I recently returned to this restaurant and found the tea house to be very clean. The staff were friendly and polite, the food was delicious as always, and I am looking forward to coming back again soon.

An excellent lunch at this restaurant. Named “tea house” but offers so much more. We had the blade of beef and liver and onions , lots of veg, all piping hot. Efficient and friendly staff. Could not have been bettered in a 5star establishment

A wonderful place to visit, in rural England. service well beyond expectations, the hospitality is with a passion that is beyond first class service. Very warm and welcoming. The food is home cooked, steaming hot, with big portions at reasonable prices. If you are in the area, a visit to the Tea House in the woods is a must.

WOW WEE utterly fabulous! We had Sunday Dinner and it was the best we’ve ever had! The flavours were divine and delicious! You could capture every flavour and the portions were simply perfect. The presentation was perfect and served on hot plates! The price was perfect and certainly won’t make a ding in your wallet! So would we go again? Yes, definitely and can’t wait to go back!

We went to The Teahouse in the Woods for afternoon tea today. My daughter in law, granddaughter, Hubby and myself. It was very covid safe, social distancing ,masks, table distancing etc. You had a choice of sandwich, good fillings, scone, jam and cream, lemon possit, choice of cake and drinks. Good size portions and very tasty. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A very enjoyable time and it was lovely to be eating inside again. They get booked up so if you are thinking of going, book in plenty of time.

"I've been in Horncastle on business twice once on a Monday, once on a Tuesday and both times found the town mostly closed for business in the evenings. This time, just as I was on the point of deciding people in Lincolnshire must have a tradition of fasting on a Tuesday evening, I came across The Bull. This attractive old coaching hotel looked inviting, and the staff offered me a friendly welcome. The warmly lit, high ceilinged interior of this Georgian inn was full of diners (Yes on a Tuesday! Take note, other restauranteurs of Horncastle) and the ambiance was convivial. The selection of beers behind the bar was good and the two pints I drank were tasty and well kept. I was presented with two bar menus, a separate burger menu and shown a fish menu and a steak menu on the wall. (I understand tapas is also available at weekends). Quite a choice! The bar menus largely consisted of what you might call traditional pub grub of the best kind. Within that massive choice, there must have been at least half a dozen dishes I was really tempted by but, eventually, I plumped for the cauliflower soup followed by the pork belly, mash, peas and apple gravy. Both courses were outstanding and extremely generous in size, especially the pork belly. My only disappointment was that I hadn't room in my distended belly to squeeze in a spotted dick for pudding! My bill, for such a large and excellent meal, was very modest. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at The Bull and would definitely eat and/or drink there again."
