"The setting of the restaurant was stunning, absolutely beautiful. However, the food was overall mediocre and at times lacking. My roast prawns were flavorless, as was the accompanying dipping sauce. The fish pie was also disappointing, lacking in seafood and only containing a few bits of fish. While my soufflé was tasty, it didn't quite impress me. Nothing stood out as amazing, just decent. The atmosphere on a Saturday night was rather lackluster, giving off the impression that the restaurant had lost its spark. I had high hopes for this place, but it felt more like dining in a tourist information center with nice views."

"First time trying out this little gem. The staff welcome we recieved when we arrived was very friendly, we were made to feel very welcome and had plenty of time to look through the huge choice of breakfast/brunch items... everything sounded appetising so took a while to choose.. I ended up chosing the club sandwich which was served with homemade coleslaw and a side of pringles, wow, on arrival it looked amazing so that was a good start, it was packed with filling and the bacon was of very good quality, it seemed like half a chicken was used too, no holding back on portion size, the homemade coleslaw was the best restaurant coleslaw I've had to date... My daughter chose the chicken, bacon barbecue panini which was also packed with filling, both of us had no room for anything else and left full to the brim.. we will definitely be returning to this one, don't tlet the price put you off at £11 for a club sandwich, you get what you pay for and this meal was well and truly worth it... thank me later"

"Food: I ordered a beef main course from the specials board which was well cooked and served with a delicious gravy. This was priced at £18.95 which I thought was expensive considering it is basic home cooked food. My friend ordered a chicken curry which looked and tasted very bland. Definetely a bad choice. Drinks: Tried two different white wines, both tasted nasty and extremely cheap. Couldn't finish this glass so I ordered a glass of red which was better but not cheap at around £9 a glass. My friend ordered a glass of rose wine from the menu. When it arrived it tasted like a very cheap zinfandel, which they also sell. Waitress insited it wasn't zinfandel but it clearly was ; Wine prices way too high for the quality being served. Décor: Very old fashioned, tired and depressing. I would suggest it needed a refit 20+ years ago. Chairs were also very uncomfortable and lighting harsh and uninviting. I wouldn't return for this reason alone. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1"

"This restaurant is a beautiful place to dine, with a cozy atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food. The menu is extensive with plenty of options, and the dishes are always well-presented and hot. I especially appreciate that they serve a proper pot of tea, complete with sugar cubes, in the correct pots that don't spill over. The ambiance is relaxing, and the staff are attentive and helpful. The restaurant is also wheelchair accessible with disabled toilets. The only suggestion I have is to add a few marked disabled parking bays at the front of the restaurant. Overall, I highly recommend this place as a first-class dining experience. Price range: £20–30 per person. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Recommended dish: Fish and Chips."
