"Went to the stags head last night with my dad and sister. I have been there a few times now and always have a lovely meal, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. My dad wanted a red bull and the girl behind the bar didn't think she had any but insisted she went down the cellar to check for him. He was very happpy when she came back with some. Would highly recommend the stags head its one of my favourite places to eat, it doesn't matter who is working on my visits they are also nice."

Great place to eat! The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are fantastic. The locals are warm and friendly, making you feel right at home. The food is fresh, nothing processed or pre-packaged here. I will definitely be returning!

The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is fantastic. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I was pleasantly surprised to find a complete and delicious menu tailored for me. The chef even created a special potato dish just for me. Thank you!

I visited for an early dinner on Saturday with a group of six. Although two of us were part of a party of four, we all found both the service and the food to be excellent. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends and colleagues.

We held a private function here recently. The staff were very professional from start to finish. The food was great, the room was perfect (well kept and decorated) and the outdoor area is brilliant for guests who smoke but still want to be part of the party. I would highly recommend this venue as a perfect old English country pub.

We walked in around 3:30 PM without a reservation and were promptly seated. The staff were incredibly friendly. We ordered a sharing platter that included roast beef, pork, and turkey. The roasted potatoes were absolutely amazing, as was the gravy. The vegetables, especially the cauliflower cheese, were delicious. I would definitely return!

The food was warm, but it was still enjoyable—nothing more than that. I found the price of the Amstel shandy to be excessive at £5.20, which felt like daylight robbery. I likely wouldn't return or recommend the place, although they are dog-friendly. Additionally, the staff asked if I wanted my change, which made me feel pressured to leave it as a tip. I found that to be quite rude.

We received a warm and friendly welcome at this charming pub and restaurant. The food was excellent, but the service could use some improvement. We ordered wine when our main courses arrived, but it only came after we had finished our meal, which was a bit disappointing. I also noticed someone going to the bar instead of using the waitstaff. It could benefit from more attentive drink servers, but I can't fault the food—it was truly delicious.
