Popped in for dinner on Saturday night. Hadn’t booked but they managed to fit us in on a very busy night. Food was really good. Would have given top marks but drinks service really slow (the bar was slow sorting drinks for waiters). Pleasant staff...and overall a lovely evening

I am really wondering what is going on, that they never know whether open or closed, or after they are asked to leave a pint as no personal, stood in sight with at least six other customers with not one employee! in the primary education? incredibly late is only a wee, limited bitter, no san miguel camp, but carlsberg sold in the san miguel pump head also guinness sold with a Voir le carte

Iv left a couple of bad reviews about the Saracens in the past but I have to say today’s lunch was really good the food was freshly cooked and very tasty I had the Salmon which was delicious and my husband had the Burger which...he said was also delicious. Although busy the service the in bar area was very good and has improved enormously they seem to have found a couple of really good members of staff at last! Keep up the good work we are looking forward to our next visit.

Live in Dunmow and frequent this place quite a bit. Depends on the staffing level the bar can be clean and organised or can be the other end of the scale . On this particular night waited twenty five mins for a drink whilst another...member polished a few glasses while there a was full bar waiting and one poor girl serving. Had a table booked in the restaurant when we checked in at that the time stated it was not ready, happy to wait… 2/3rds of the menu was not available… it was only 8pm!!! The Sunday menu is very limited and the fact that they didn’t have everything on the menu available didn’t help. The staff were very slow and not friendly. After ordering drinks it took about 30 minutes to get them apparently the bar was busy. The...food was OK but the greens were under cooked. I got three half roast potatoes and one very small burnt one. After we got the bill I paid but then re-checked it and noticed that we had been over charged. Two of us had starters and a main and two had a main with a sweet. So that is 4 two course meals £19.95 each. I was charged for 2 three course meals and 2 two course meals. here for a family birthday with 9 of us. They had asked us to order our lunch days before, as we were a great party after them. it wasn't busy the night of our visit. We simply had breakfast in the restaurant, food was lovelly and the only positive except the central location of the venue. This is probably why it would appear front of house staff don't seem bothered about providing a good service. Upon arrival we waited while...the waitress who greeted us asked my manager' a young male where to seat us, without any communication to us it seemed the male manager started to reset a table, we waited wondering what was happening whilst another member of the public using the restaurant decided he could move to a window table and offered his table to us. We have been to this pub about 3 times in the 5 years that we have lived in dunmow. We don't go to the saracens head often as every time service hasn't been great but thought we'd give it another go as food has always...been good, we don't often get to go out as a family so we where really looking forward to a nice evening. we booked a table for the 6 of us. Upon arrival no one saw to us even though there was only 1 table of people finishing their food so it wasn't exactly busy. I saw a girl around the corner who I said hello to and then she took our names, she pointed to where we would be sitting and I asked politely if we where able to sit on the table parallel as we had a buggy with a bug...
