Overall, it was an excellent place for our family to catch up and enjoy a meal. It's rare to find a venue these days where you don't have to shout over loud music or the noise from fruit machines and rowdy crowds. This charming, traditional country pub is nestled in beautiful surroundings and has exceptionally clean tables and facilities that cater to all ages and muddy pets. I highly recommend the pies, the Sunday roast, and the vegetarian options. Our experience was entirely positive—thank you for a truly lovely Sunday afternoon!"

Great pies, well worth the trip. Walkability: A pleasant walk from Wickham and surrounded by footpaths through woods and walked to up the disused railway line. Hotel highlights: Kid-friendly, Great value

After touring Nelson's fort stopped in for late lunch Food drinks: Over from Canada visiting cousins in Portsmouth area. I have no information as to the rooms as my cousins took me here for late lunch. Lunch was very good , portions were large , prices surprisingly reasonable. Atmosphere cozy warm and quiet.
