"Visited this place on the night England were playing in a euros match. They advertise that they are open until 23:00 hours yet when we arrived we were told by an unpleasant lady that they were closed since 19:30 hours. I guess the staff were watching the match. There were people in there with doggie bags I wonder did they have to abandon their meal and told to leave . This place is unreliable ,staff are rude and not abiding by their own opening and closing times. ZERO STARS for this place. THIS IS NOT A FAKE REVIEW as you have stated in your reply. That reply is probably made by the person who decided to close the restaurant early.I am not lying WE WERE turned away and it was before the match started"

Nice pub in the heart of matlock, great service with plenty of beer choices.. Didn't have food but it looked nice.

Food was absolutely wonderful, we managed to phone an hour earlier and was fitted in. Dog friendly, couldn't have asked for anything more. Will definitely come back

Good food, but too much of it. Found the portions a bit overwhelming. I had the chicken Gyros. Nicely presented and salad ingredients were fresh. It just didn't need the chips. Nice place and staff were lovely.

Enjoyable time here. Sunday roasts are massive! Late night dinner was just what we needed on a date night. Atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly. Dogs are welcome too. Great range of drinks and snacks. What more could you ask!
