I felt safe during my visit, as they have implemented measures to address the virus. The food was exquisite, and the service was prompt and efficient.

This was our first visit since the new management took over, and we opted for 'The Early Bird Menu.' We were not disappointed! The food was excellent, beautifully presented, and incredibly tasty. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The new decor looks fantastic. We will definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend it!

Meeting up with some friends for a drink and a meal. Two of the meals were very nice (fish and chips, and Lasagna) but the Tuna salad wasn’t great as there wasn’t a great deal of salad and the Tuna was disguised by a massive amount of mayonnaise, but the diner didn’t complain, so we shouldn’t be too critical. We had a decent experience here as a large group of runners, all thirsty and hungry after completing our run around Barney. I highly recommend trying the pizza—it was excellent! However, my partner felt that the place could be cleaner, and I thought the atmosphere would have been much better if it had been busier. On the plus side, there is ample parking available. Overall, I would rate the service a 4 and the location a 4.

This place offers a warm welcome and a cozy pub atmosphere, making it a fantastic option for an overnight stay. Its location is excellent, just a 15-minute walk to the town center and the castle. The staff and management were friendly and accommodating. The room was well-equipped, featuring a comfortable bed and a lovely veranda. The food was absolutely delicious, with quick and fresh service. I would definitely recommend this place and hope to stay here again the next time I'm in the area. Room Rating: 5/5.

Didn't stay in the hotel we called into the restaurant for food (so ignore hotel ratings). One of us ordered a mixed grill, and the other ordered a red well burger (steak burger). Service wasn't quick, despite the restaurant being pretty empty. Although the staff were friendly. Plenty of parking spaces outside. Location of restaurant is beautiful as its just within Barnard Castle. Visited because a couple of locals recommended the place, however its unlikely we would ever return for food due to it not being to our particular taste. Voir le carte
