"We visited on a Sunday , the staff were welcoming, chatty and polite. We had three courses, the starters were both very good but the soup could have been a higher temp , it was barely hot enough. The desserts were very good, portions just right, a lively finish to the meal. The mains could be improved. The dressed crab was literally in its shell, which was ok but it was served with three pieces of lettuce and two cherry tomatoes, plus some roast potatoes served separately. No effort had been put into this dish, I was still hungry. The roast pork was ok, disappointed to see the gravy already on the plate, one sliver of parsnip, and not well presented veg. The pork was ok, more like a boneless chop, good crackling. We would go back but hopefully some minor adjustments can be made."

Brilliant, all food is freshly prepared, and piping hot. Good ambiance, great service. Not stayed overnight, but I bet it's superb. They cater for weddings too. ! look it up. You'd be pleased you did.

We had an excellent meal on Friday night. The food was very good and our waiter was friendly and attentive. There was a good atmosphere in the restaurant and we sat on comfy cushioned benches. The only downside was that they’d run out of the dessert we wanted.

we went there as a family for a Sunday meal. the personal was excellent, the starters are great and are very high quality. we were all very impressed by ours. the carvery is perfect with 4 diffret meat to faus and several other sweet and sausages to choose to fill their plate. there are several puddings to choose and they were all made fresh and tasty. I would visit in the near future
