"It’s really disappointing when a once-great pub gets new owners and falls completely flat. When we arrived, we were greeted by a grumpy staff member who couldn’t find our reservation. After receiving our drinks, we had to get our own menus. We then sat and waited an hour for our starters, which were quite underwhelming. We weren’t offered any extra drinks either. While the main course was good, there was yet another long wait. The owner was unfriendly and didn’t check in on us at all. Eventually, he left one waitress to handle everything and went home. Overall, it was a truly disappointing experience, and I would strongly recommend avoiding this place."

The meal was beautiful, as always. Brian, Joyce, and Amiee are excellent hosts, making it a true little gem. I hadn't visited in a few years due to COVID, but I took my son (who is 32) this time, and our meal was fantastic. Don't hesitate to go; you won't be disappointed! Voir le carte

This was one of the best pub experiences I've ever had! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They really went above and beyond to accommodate us by preparing the table for our arrival and setting up a water dish for our dog. The food was delicious, and the garden was lovely. We also enjoyed meeting their parrot!

**NOW PERMANENTLY CLOSED:** The Plough at Rede is one of Suffolk's best-kept secrets. This charming thatched pub features oak beams and an open fire, nestled in the quaint hamlet of Rede. It boasts a stunning location and a wonderful atmosphere, where guests are greeted with warmth and served the finest food for miles. Brian and Joyce have been running the Plough for over 30 years, with many customers returning again and again. I would give it 100 stars if I could!
