We went here because the menu looked interesting and it didn't disappoint. Venison bourguignon was fabulous as was the cheeseboard.

Lacks a little atmosphere but the standard of service and quality of the food make it well worth putting on your list of restaurant's to visit in Somerset

beautiful meal for my birthday xx my father had the lamb steak .he loved it x partner had the fish lasagna.....yummy xx the children loved it x kinder enjoyed the garden xx deffo back xx for another meal xxxxxxxxxx

We were driving home to Devon from a few days away and happened on this pub , what a wonderful find ! The food was amazing , the best gammon steak I've ever tasted ...real butchers gammon not pink plasticky supermarket stuff . The chips...were brilliant as well , in fact I kept on eating even though I was full ! My husband had the faggots and he said he thoroughly enjoyed them. We'll be talking about this place for a long time to come

stopped here for impromptu lunch and a drink with family and discovered a jewel. the staff was so warm and welcoming, the location was comfortable and traditional. for the first time in the years I felt the need to congratulate the cook over quality, fresh and high standard of food presented. once I didn't have the terrible feeling, what a waste of money and I'll never get back there again! well made to all employees and we will see them again, please you can a larger part of the amazing home cooked chips next time!

Now the menu isn’t extensive but the food is delicious. I had the prawn cocktail to start and was the best I have ever had. So much attention to detail, a real feast. My wife had the same and she agreed. We both then had...the roast, Turkey for me and beef for her! Well don’t like to gush but again the detail to the choices of vegetable served was superb.
