The Old White Beare

Beautiful building with great size portions. Also it has cozy feel to it. I love this pub, it is one of the best pubs in Yorkshire if not the entire U.K.

For the last two weeks, despite opening until 10.30 Sunday, last orders have been called at 10.00, till turned off at 10.03. This hasn't been the norm. Very disappointing. Service and staff otherwise excellent. Pub quite busy at the time. Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Afternoon Tea for Eight members of Brighouse Stitchers celebrating a 90th birthday today. Food excellent, warm and cosy for a lovely relaxed afternoon. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot

Enjoyed our evening a family of 8 people, the food , ambience of the pub was excellent as was the friendliness of the team working, was very impressive. We arrived without booking which didn’t cause a problem in the least. The place was lovely and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The menu was quite extensive with the four of us choosing different options. Every one of us described our own meal as excellent. Will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend. But next time we will book, to avoid what would be a huge disappointment. Well done to everybody at the Old White Beare . Thank you.

A strange experience last night. Booked a table for 7.30 pm, arrived at 7.25. Sat down with some drinks and a bottle of wine for dinner, went to the bar at 8.05 to order food. Was told the kitchen closed at 8.00 so couldn’t order. We said why didn’t you come across and let us know seeing as we had booked for dinner, was told it was on Facebook and should have known. We quickly had to ring another pub to try and get a table, was welcomed with open arms by the Brown Horse in Shelf, sat down with them at 8.20 eating hearty food by 8.45: brilliant. We’ve been lots of times to the White Bear and always been happy but last nights experience was just wrong on so many levels, it’s unlikely we’ll try...

Came here whilst on holiday in the area and me and my partner had the afternoon tea. There was a large car park at the side which made life easy as we came with our 3 dogs. Once inside we were given a friendly welcome by the staff there. We had cocktails with the lunch and staff member Ellie suggested a coconut cocktail and they were lovely! The dogs were also treated to a very nice dog treat which they thoroughly enjoyed. The afternoon tea had some lovely sandwiches and wraps and well as a nice selection of dessert items. If I could suggest anything, it is that they consider adding to the menu a savoury afternoon tea with sausage rolls, scotch eggs, halloumi fries ect... Overall great servi... Voir le carte
