"Popped in for an early improptu Saturday lunch. First through the doors and Olivia gave us free reign over tables, so we plumped for by the fire. Just intended to go for mains Supreme of Chicken with porcini mushroom and thyme sauce on a potato and onion rosti topped with spinach, tender and tasty, but I hd Sea Bream with samphire dill and prawn bisque amazing! Bream crispy skinned and perfectly cooked, and a lick your plate clean sauce, served on a dill potato cake. Would definitely have it again! Could not resist the Banofee Pavlova truly next level! Light crisp shelled merigue with chewy inside, piled with banana creme topped with two spears of banana coated with shards brittle caramel and the whole thing swirled caramel sauce and dotted with lemon thyme/verbena? Divine but definitely a sharer despite its modest looking size! Olivia was the perfect host and we washed it all down with a large pot of Chamomile Tea. Can't wait to go again! Nice place, food good, apart from the starter I had, the rustic bread was very soft and not that great. Staff friendly. We had a lovely lunch.

Excellent attentive service with happy staff my husband and I had roast pork with seasonal vegetables,kale, roast potatoes with rosemary, cauliflower cheese,gravy all cooked to perfection.

Always warm welcoming pub whose menu has been a god but could be a bit or miss over the years but seems to have found its feet again. Nice beer garden in the summer. Dog friendly and lovely staff.

The service and ambiance were excellent. Unfortunately, the food was just average. It was also quite noisy inside, which we didn't mind, but it might be an issue for others. Price per person: £10–£20. Food: 3/5, Service: 4/5, Atmosphere: 4/5.

The pub is very pleasant and has a cosy main bar with character. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. The beer was good on on the day of my visit, lunch of locally sourced sausages mash and parsnip crisps, was delightful. The pub is going through a revamp and is a nice location for a meal or a drink inside or out.

frankly the best local pub that you could wish, amazing friendly staff all full of buzz and always smile, could not do more to make their stay more welcome. beautiful garden place with lots of space for her pooch to walk around. beautiful selection of drinks to satisfy every bud. the natives are also friendly, a wonderful friendly baptismal peeps. stop!
