"We attempted to go for a meal, unfortunately I'm not sure what was going on but a manager and three staff just wasn't enough for a Saturday night. I waited ten minutes to be served at the bar and was ignored twice. Got served and...asked about a table for food. Was told sit wherever there isn't a reserved sign. I Advised the chap that we had seated ourselves in a booth (was free) he said he would bring the drinks over, and then come and take the order. I had to collect menus myself as table was recently vacated. Drinks arrived, with one missing. I asked if the table could be cleared and a lady came over took half of the stuff away and brought spray and roll and didn't come back. Someone then came over and took the order from the table next to us who had arrived after us, and three of the meals they wanted weren't available. So to be honest we gave up. Paid the drinks bill and left. I'm sad and this is not a rant at the staff, appreciate that people may be off with Covid etc. If your short staffed than don't tell customers it's table service we would have been happy to order at the bar if that what was easier, and when you hand someone a menu tell them what's not available! Really disappointing."

We’ve had a nice meal here tonight. The food was well presented, hot and tasted good. Although it was very quiet there was a nice atmosphere. The staff, whilst a little nervous and inexperienced, were attentive and friendly. Hope customer numbers increase over the coming...months. Voir le carte

What has happened to the Manor House? The meals are terrible. Obviously new chef and nowhere near as good as the last one. The manager was very miserable with no conversation, will be a long time before we revisit. Can’t believe dogs are allowed where...people are eating, very bad conduct.

New owners and new staff . We used to really like it here but meal this time was terrible. Burnt greasy parmesans and worst frozen chips ever. Service very slow even though quiet. Warm white wine. We all left percent of the meal and...my husband wouldn’t even stay to complain. If it doesn’t improve it won’t survive, such a shame.

Been a very regular customer here for several years, however visiting today i am extremely disappointed with today’s experience. (This is in no reflection of the service we received from lovely serving staff The change in owner/management and staff is clearly noticeable within the atmosphere-...going from a establishment which was proud of their professionalism. The quality of the food which we received is not something i would expect from a Fitzgerald pub not to mention the child like portions for an adult Sunday Lunch. Also to mention removing sticky toffee pudding from menu! Sad to see an establishment slowly deplete, sadly will not be back! Some things are best left alone! Voir le carte

Appalling customer service . We wanted to have a lovely New Year’s Day family celebration but this was spoilt by a very rude and miserable manager and most of his staff. A member of my family went to the bar and was ignored by the...manger whilst he made a coffee for himself. Another members of staff were deep in conversation ignoring people waiting to be served. It took minutes to clear dirty plates after we finished our starters. They got drinks wrong and tried to serve a wine in a pint glass. The manager and his team need to go on hospitality training. No wonder the place was quiet for a New Year’s Day. People had told me it has really gone down lately but we thought we would give it the...

The family looked forward to dining out at the Manor House, particularly the wife and I to get some well needed down time after a busy working week. We chose the Manor House as we had heard they provide colouring pencils and print outs to...be coloured in, which we hoped would keep the children occupied so we could pretend they weren't with us. Unfortunately as per the image attached the coloured pencils looked like they had seen better days to say the least and hadnt seen the inside of a pencil sharpener for quite some time. To put it mildly they were as bald as Willy Thornes head. Needless to say the kids soon realised they were useless and proceeded to badger' us throughout the visit whin...

"Visited this weekend for a family celebration and had an unremarkable experience. Decor of establishment was rather nice. Admittedly, we were a large booking of 17 individuals and this can be challenging to manage and organise for such a small establishment. The mature gentleman was rather rude to our host whom asked for an additional chair for the party as we were one short despite finalising numbers as agreed earlier in the afternoon. This is no way an appropriate manner to treat guests and clearly set a bad example for his staff as well as the wrong tone for the evening ahead. Guests were not even properly seated before being hounded for their drinks order despite not being given a drinks menu. Upon asking about cocktails to the waitress whom was pleasant she was unable to give the full selection just the three she knew of the top of her head that were the standard run of the mill selection. To give full credit to her fo honest regarding the diaquiries before we ordered them in. The cocktails (passion fruit martini and cosmopolitan's) ordered were disappointing as they tasted watered down and lacked a bang. Don't understand why one of the passion fruit martinis was brought out in a drinks glass which was rather random. Drinks orders were taken on an ad hoc basis with the waiting staff not taking a full tables order walking away as people attempted to give their drinks order, unintentional maybe? We were rushed to give our starters/mains orders all of which came promptly and all guests received the correct order. The waiting staff shouted out food orders from the top of the table to identify who's order was who's. The pasta based dishes were pleasantly enjoyed yet the pizzas and parmesans proved to be somewhat vanilla. Not all guests had properly finished eating their meals before the gentlemen asked if he could remove plates before receiving an answer from the full table resulting in some guests to not finish their meals. We were not offered a deserts menu once they removed dishes from the table. We had second hand embarrassment for an additional family party whom were having a celebration meal at the restaurant. The party had started to get settled at the table putting out their balloons etc when the mature gent stormed over barking at them to move as he shoved table and chairs across the restaurant. This clearly made them feel uncomfortable as was noticed and commented by the service users of the restaurant. The waiting staff plonked the celebration cakes on the table one of which didn't even go to the correct individual. NO SPECIAL MEMORY OR MAGICAL MOMENT TO BE HAD FOR A 18TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. It would have been nice if they had asked before bringing it out as some of our party partially missed out on the occasion. The bill was given to the wrong individual instead of the host which allowed for everyone to see the bill when this was an private affair. To be perfectly honest we visited a few months earlier and had a disappointing experience but with better service. Linthorpe Road is bursting with alternative, superior, independent eateries that I would highly recommend instead."
