"Quite a friendly welcome, pleasant garden overlooking the Atlantic, pretty flowers and shrubs. A pub dog called Pablo (I think) who wanders around quite happily! But the top, top thing here is the food. We came in for a drink and ended up eating lunch in the garden: excellent game pie, really good filling, a mound of chips and vegetables. Kashmiri lamb curry with a lot of rice, a couple of pieces of naan And a selection of three sauces. Absolutely stuffed, we need to go and have a lie down! This is not the first time we’ve eaten here, we will definitely come again"

"I don't normally review on TripAdvisor but I wanted to say that this cafe does a lot right. The staff are lovely, the toilet is clean and the ingredients are high quality... but, they need to be more careful about allergens, all of the side salads were covered or combined with celery... I am not allergic, but I can't eat celery for other health reasons and I work in the food industry... there are no warnings. The bacon was delicious, but the chilli salsa was just a few chopped up bits of onion, pepper and a little chilli... on the whole they have so much potential, but disappointing."

"the thunfish and the vegan cheese melt on toast. it was great, not very thunfish, but that was good with me. good homemade châtney thing on the side. the halat was impressive compared to a standard page salad of salat and tomaten. nice as a couple of seeds, nuts and behave! a little coriander for my taste. would definitely be good to see an increase in the vegan options, but was definitiw nice to have options that were clearly indicated as vegan on the menu. double espresso was quite decent, vegan milk were also available for coffee."

"A treat from a dear friend brought me and her littluns to this lovely spot for a thoroughly enjoyable evening : On the surface the place gave little away so I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted with a warm and cosy pub, full of local happy faces quietly enjoying a midweek tipple.. Having recently changed hands, the new owners were wonderfully cheery and out to accommodate our every need.. We were particularly impressed by their promise of a hearty Vegan dinner (not a common sight in little old St Just that’s for sure . The sweet landlady D instantly took to us and the kiddies and kindly offered to hold the baby whilst ensuring the 3 year old had his hands full of colouring pens and paper. And before we knew it there was a table full of colourful food and in front of our faces too! The more than Yummy Vegan Squash Stew was an obvious choice for my plant eating preferences and went down wonderfully with a pint of their local ‘Proper Job’ ale : My fish eating friends opted for the Scampi and skin on chips which I can only assume went down a treat judging by the smiles on their faces! Particular compliments went out to their home made vegan friendly tartare sauce : My friend was so pleased with our meals that she had kindly ordered us all dessert, which finished off the evening perfectly.. Especially since it was all served with a juicy helping of Vegan ice cream : A fabulous local setting filled with happy humans and some warm, tasty grub made for a splendid midweek dinner : A firm favourite for our next outing in St Just!"

"I had the pleasure of attending The King Arms first Vegan night a full vegan menu of 3 starters 3 mains and 3 deserts (see pic) The Chef Ben was very strict on the night not to serve meat dishes but encouraged people to try vegan the food was very yummy, i had Mushroom falafels as a starter (big enough as a main) served with 3 dips and a salad. For the main i had Portobello mushroom with a wild mushroom filling topped with vegan cheese served with a sprouting salad and for the desert Chocolate Brownie with ice cream which was of the brownie scale i can tell ya all for £20. Vegan night is every Thursday and the normal daily menu has vegan options. If you in Cornwall this is a must highly recommended."
