The Hare - Carte

I met with some long-time friends for lunch at a restaurant. We sat in the conservatory area, which had a very limited menu and high prices. The service was not up to the standard it used to be.

A famikly get together for lunch, and The Hare hit the spot. Friendly and efficient staff, and a tablenin the conservatory overlooking the Autumn colours of the trees. I had a very good fillet steak ciabatta, with a pint of Long Man.

Really poor experience. Not only the prices have drastically gone up but The meal was nothing to write home about. The service was appalling. Shame this used to be one of our favourite spots for a Sunday lunch. Would not recommend at all Voir le carte

Appalling food, mediocre service, terrifically expensive. Had jack fruit curry which had no taste, far too much chilli powder and sloppy. Cheese board pathetic I rather think the board itself would have had more taste. Really disappointed. Pub is nicely done out though

Lovely family visit here last night. I like my food super-hot and the table staff were quite happy to take my meal away and prepare another when I asked if my dish could be heated up. And adjusted the bill because I needed to wait. Wide variety of dishes to choose from, warm inviting atmosphere

I would love to work here as a youngster all the staff do is hang around and giggle all lunchtime rather making an environment for customers I would love to get paid to gossip at the bar all day surely there’s other things to do Food was okay The hake skin could have been cooked and the beetroot was hard All I could hear was jades laugh when I was trying to relax Voir le carte

We dined in the conservatory of this charming pub, which also features small dining rooms. The service was excellent and quick, and the restaurant was bustling with customers, indicating its popularity. I would suggest trying the small dessert and drinks pairing for around £8. However, in my opinion, the main courses were a bit expensive. Since we do not live nearby, we likely will not return.

This restaurant is a welcoming spot that we have frequented for more than 25 years. They have recently updated the decor with vintage advertisements and historic photographs. The menu offers tasty pub grub, such as steak and ale pie, Thai curry, and beef salad. The warm bread starter was particularly enjoyable. The intimate dining experience in a series of cozy rooms enhances the ambiance. With a selection of cask beers, this pub is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts.

We've just had a Boxing day dinner here and we chose the 2 courses for £42.95. The pork main and the apple tart was very nice but my goodness the portions were small. 1 roll of pork, small piece of crackling, 1 carrot, 1 ball of potato, some kale and 1/2 a teaspoon of apple puree. Apple tart was with ice cream in a nice caramel/toffee sauce, but again really small. I was initially worried about being able to eat 2 courses as I usually only eat a main, but I've actually come away wanting more to eat. Voir le carte
