Food not bad but well over priced, not Covid Friendly due to its size, plus Landlord lacks People Skills, McDonald's here we come!!!!

This restaurant is fantastic! The food is brilliant, the setting is lovely, and the staff and owners are great. The menu offers a wide variety of choices and the desserts are huge, but delicious!

We've come here several times now (this time on Christmas Eve) and the food is always delicious. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. Steaks are great, this time we also tried the calamari. Nothing to complain, can't wait to go again. Voir le carte

What a fabulous evening 12 of us had recently. The staff were very attentive with brilliant service the food was excellent. I had rib-eye steak peppercorn sauce with salad chips. It was delicious cooked perfectly. Can’t wait to visit again in the New Year.

After hearing great reviews about The George, I decided to give it a try. I didn't make a reservation, but managed to snag a seat at the bar. The staff was excellent, the steak was amazing, and the owner was a true gentleman who was very attentive. I will definitely be returning again.

Absolutely wonderful place to eat and stay!!! We stayed with our 2 children and the rooms were beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and lovely treats in the fridge for all 4 of us! We had the most amazing evening meal in the pub, all 4 of us enjoyed the most delicious fillet steaks we’ve ever eaten…and we love steak so that’s some statement!!! Graeme (the highly talented owner and chef) cooked the meal to utter perfection and the staff led by Candice were professional and attentive! This place is a must!!! Voir le carte

Best steak ale pie ever, taste was amazing and I reckon there were two steaks chopped up in the pie. It was huge and cooked to perfection. It was then followed by the raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake which didn’t need any cream nor ice cream because it was beautifully smooth and creamy on its own. Friends and husband had steaks and a burger, which looked fabulous, but I just concentrated on my delicious pie!Staff, landlord and landlady, although busy, we’re extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

The food is fabulous especially the beef steaks and lamb steaks! You can choose the size of your steak so if you have a hearty appetite then there’s a steak to suit you!! The desserts are delicious with a lovely choice of ice creams to go with them!! The service is great with lovely service staff and the landlord and landlady are great hosts doing their best in difficult times!! The pub is COVID secure with a one-way system in place! The food is fantastic quality and expect to pay for the quality, it is worth every penny!! If you have a special occasion then it’s a great place to go to celebrate!! We would eat there every night if it was possible!! Try it you won’t be disappointed!!

We had heard great things about The George Inn and as steak lovers, we decided to celebrate my son's birthday here. The restaurant exceeded our expectations. The cozy atmosphere with low ceilings and flagstone floors was exactly what we were looking for in a pub. The attentive, friendly, and efficient service from the staff, along with the delicious steaks, made for a very enjoyable evening. All five of us ordered steaks, and my ribeye was cooked perfectly and came with tasty chips, salad, and an excellent blue stilton sauce on the side. I couldn't resist trying the white chocolate and Toblerone cheesecake for dessert, which was a delight. The prices for both drinks and food were reasonable... Voir le carte
