I hadn't visited this restaurant in a while, but I came back to celebrate a 16th birthday party last night. I believe our server's name was Violet, and she provided excellent service. The food was just as delicious as I remembered. I much prefer this cozy setup to a larger chain restaurant.

Good friendly staff and a good menu choice. Large portions so didn't do starters but shared a desert as they looked so good. Would definitely be going back. Very nice little gastro pub, bit of a family favourite. On my first visit I had the nicest steak I 'd ever had, second time round it wasn 't quite so good, unsure if there was a change in chef or quality of the meat, but I 'm not here to judge a whole place on a single acceptable experience and will continue to return here and try lots of different things from the menu! Couldn’t fault the food, amazing and good value for money. Unfortunately the service was poor and although I have been here many times, I will not be returning again. Following a very unclear offer on the website, an attempt of discussion around this led to a hostile and sarcastic response from the waiter. In addition one of the starters had been missed, food was quick but drinks took a while to arrive, and when bringing the receipt over after paying the bill I had to ask where my change was as they had assumed to keep this worth £5.
