"We had lunch here today, the food was exceptionally good, although there was no nut roast available, I had the roast with veg pie super tasty, 2 had the meat trio roast and one had burger and chips. All were perfectly cooked. The deserts were equally good and large portions. Georgie was a great host and the waiting staff were very polite and efficient. Will definitely be back. Thank you."

A lovely meal in a very relaxed atmosphere, staff and customers chatted away easily. Our thanks to the staff who looked after us and were really good to the kids in our party. The sticky toffee pudding recommendation was spot on, one of the best I've ever had.

Had a family lunch here today as our grandad Ed is a regular. Place is lovely staff friendly and helpful. We sat in the private room for lunch all our food was fantastic. I had a cheese and mushroom omelette was lovely. Sat back out in the main bar for some desert again all was very nice lovely way to spend some family Time we will be back again

This is a great family pub, a dying breed of a community hub. The drinks are not expensive, the staff are friendly and familiar and there are no mass produced chain-type menus because this is an indie pub which home produces its own, great, tasty, meals...I mean, how many restaurants can you say that their pies have MORE than enough meat in them? Oh and they're dog friendly too
