"What a great venue for the Toyah concert last night. The staff were very hospitable and the barn where the concert was held was very spacious with its own bar and toilets. Onsite car parking is limited but there is plenty of safe car parking on the street near the pub. Toyah was fantastic the support group The Kahunas were very good. I had a brilliant night all round a big thank you to everyone involved."

Excellent food with very friendly and attentive staff. Loverly views from the conservatory and garden. Owner even kind enough to show us one of the rental rooms in the lodges for future reference..look super and very spacious.

The rooms are gorgeous! Spacious, warm and still cozy. The restaurant is just as beautiful. The food even more so! We are on a break away from Wales and all the staff have been incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming. We will definitely be returning!

We went to the flying fish for my father in law's birthday. The landlady had been very helpful when we were booking, and was very welcoming when we arrived. The one particular meal was as we booked, and the others we chose on the night, were all very good. The service was very good. We will go back. Voir le carte

This restaurant and accommodation is a true gem! The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food is absolutely outstanding; the jerk dish I had was honestly the best I've ever tasted. The Flying Fish is perfectly situated for exploring Somerset and its surroundings. We will definitely stay here again!

We didn’t stay over but wish we could have done. Came for food after spotting the Caribbean items on the menu. Super tasty dishes, we had jerk pork and the goat curry, both really really good. The setting is excellent too, a lovely garden for outdoor dining or a porch type area for indoors, plus the pub itself. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Voir le carte

I stayed here for a night while in the area. The rooms were well-maintained, very quiet, and equipped with TV, Wi-Fi, and available parking. The pub offers excellent food, including fish and chips for dinner and a full English breakfast. They also serve great local ales. The locals and bar staff were friendly and welcoming, making for a pleasant experience.

We got married here on Saturday, and it was an absolutely perfect day. Julie, our wedding planner, was with us every step of the way and helped ease our stress. Bud and Kite were incredibly friendly and helpful, and all the staff were fantastic. Our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and said it was the best time they had. Thank you so much for making our special day even more memorable!

"We had been to this pub on several occasions over 3 months and were very pleased with the food and the attentive staff . On this particular day I ordered the Sunday roast beef but I couldn 't get my knife through the sinews of the meat and asked for a sharper knife but they didn 't have one. I left most of the meat because I couldn 't cut through it and when the waitress came to clear the table and she asked if we had enjoyed the meal I pointed out to her that the beef wasn 't very good as I couldn 't cut through it which meant I had eaten very little of it which she could see. The restaurant was very busy and I didn 't want to make any further complaint at the table but when I went to pay the lady manager asked me if I had enjoyed the meal and I told her about the beef to which she said the chef managed to tear it apart with his hands . She had an air of indifference and handed me the bill and said I had been the only person to have made a complaint. I enjoy my beef and would not have left it on the plate had it been palatable. She made me feel very uncomfortable, but begrudgingly said she would remove my meal from the bill. I told her I was upset with her attitude and because of her I would not be going to the 5 Dials again. They had every opportunity to ask if I would like something else or another piece of meat when I first said I couldn 't cut through it but they didn 't."

"Our first visit to The George Inn at Donyatt, we've drove by it time's going to other places and it always looks such a nice place. We decided to have lunchtime meal there to celebrate our anniversary and weren't disappointed, beamed ceilings, log burner and brick fireplace, farm tools and pictures on the walls cosy and oldie worldy with friendly locals just how we like our pubs. The staff and owner were really friendly, polite and chatted to us as if we locals from the village, the waitresses were smartly dressed, polite attentive always smiling, cheerful, charming and chatty. Even the chef nodded and smiled to us the couple of times he walked through and the bar and table areas were spotlessly clean. Our meals starters and mains were absolutely fantastic and amazing as was the presentation, they were hot good amounts of food with tender succulent meats and vegetables and the mashed potatoes were creamy smooth and light and have never had better. There's a good selection of beers and I had local ale which was amazing, clear, cool with a nice head and tasted like nectar. We will definitely be coming back soon and we can definitely recommend this pub, restaurant and hotel to family, friends, neighbours and anyone. A very big well done and thank you to the owners, all the staff especially the chef, please please please keep this pub the way it is, it's an absolute treasure and gem of a place to find. YOU ALL MADE OUR ANNIVERSARY VERY SPECIAL Especially in these times when a majority of local village pubs are closing down and being turned into houses or flats, we must all support our local village pubs like The George Inn."
