"Ordered chicken roast. Ate a bite and it instantly smelt and tasted revolting, very dry and had a strange taste and smell as though it had been left out and re heated a few times. Service was fine though, vegetables and mash ok, no Yorkshire included. They asked if food was ok but only looked at my husband who was polite, I made a face but didn’t get a chance to say as the server had already turned into another room. They did take feedback and offered to take off chicken but I said we always pay and give feedback. Afterwards, once home, I read another similar review and actually wish I hadn’t paid as it seems a known issue they have not fixed!"

First time In the pub nd was welcomed by Joe, the four of us got food and it was really good, really good atmosphere and nice locals to chat to. I will definitely be back

Currently working in the area, lovely pub very clean friendly staff cracking pint of Guinness, yet to eat here but judging by the amount of people that are the food is good too.

It's the staff which make this place, all lovely and friendly. The food arrived hot but not really anything to shout out about. Typical pub food. Sometimes a salad isn't really needed on a plate of food, curry and salad on the same plate ? Or maybe that's just me.

Eaten three times .. wouldn't recommend the so called steak medallions as its more like beef in gravy that comes out of a tin ..and the roast beef is definitely not normal beef joint has it had a weird taste, very much microwave food ... felt rushed out from kitchen, only warm ..

This traditional pub serves excellent pub food. We made a reservation over the phone and upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member. Our drinks were promptly taken at the table and served quickly. After placing our food order, it arrived within a few minutes. The service was fast and efficient, and we never felt rushed. The only downside was that we were too full to indulge in dessert. Thank you for a wonderful lunch experience.
