A lovely boozer . first class good . a warm welcome . nice atmosphere . brilliant beer garden . can not reccomend enough ...if you are in the area you Must call in ... A real little gem !

We took advantage of the 2 meals offer. We didn't expect much but were blown away with the quality and generous portions. Love to go back to Leeds just for the food. Good service too. very pleasant and welcoming.

Visited this place quiet a few times now and I can honestly say that it is my favourite place to drink in Leeds. A beautifully restored pub, clean and fab beer garden. The bar staff are a credit to the all the hard work and love that the Landlady obviously puts in. Brilliant!! Voir le carte

decided to have a visit having been shopping near by the pub was clean staff friendly the food tasty and plenty full we later found out in conversation that the publicans were infact leaving to take up a tenancy in cape verde at end of March luckily for us we timed it right to be one of the last customers to have eaten here .

I was told to pay this pub a visit and have something to eat looking at the menu I couldn't decide everything sounded lovely I eventually chose the Italian pasta soup , then the rump steak my husband chose the garlic mushrooms and steak pie,everything was delicious very good portions great service, we will be back to try the new menu

With a couple of hours to kill in this area, we wanted a pub lunch and found this place on Trip Advisor. The reviews were a great help and we can confirm the positive right ups. The food was wonderful, and very well presented, the staff were friendly and helpful. We will be going back to work our way through the menu. Definitely recommended. Excellent value. Voir le carte

Went for a (hopefully) quiet drink tonight and was appalled by what I found. Found 3 members of staff helping themselves to drinks (including shots) also found the same 3 members of staff using cocaine!! There was several mentions of deals (cocaine) mentioned through the night. Safe to say I was horrified and will not be visiting again. This public house needs to be shut down and fast!!!

Enjoyed a very nice meal in the sunshine, with my folks. I had the steak and jalapeño burger which was well cooked and came with some lovley fresh salad and chips. The portions were generous so much so I couldn't finish! It's been many years since I last went to The Engine and it has changed in all the right places, the friendly local vibe remains but the decor, menu and service have all vastly improved. Really enjoyed my evening.

Family day out and deciding to stop off for lunch!!! We pulled in at the engine and got seated straight away near the open fire. The pub it self is immaculately clean, the staff can't do enough for you and very family friendly !!!Now the food ... It's amazing the chef him self came out to see if we had enjoyed our food , by the looks of our plates he could tell we had lol I had the surf n turf which was massive fresh king prawns in garlic delicious... My partner had the gelapeno burger which also wis big, fresh and also tasted amazing on a fresh brioch bun ... All I can say is go and find out your selfs you will not be disappointed xxx Voir le carte
