Very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and food. Went with 91 year old mum and nothing was too much trouble. Carvery was very good and plentiful .

A great place to eat, good wholesome cooked food, and plenty of choices from the menu. A nice warm Yorkshire welcome plus helpful and polite staff.

Came for lunch .the server was very helpful attentive and welcoming ..I had very a delicious home made pie and chips gravy mushy peas .I.can't fault the meal or the service

Eaten here loads of times and always been great but just don't like the new menu. Many of our favourites have been taken off. Hopeful that when it comes time for a new menu they will reappear.

great food, nice atmosphere, first class service. our young lady who has addressed all our culinary needs has made a fantastic job. megan was prompt, polite and friendly. service with a smile. compliments to the chef, we'll be back. x

good quality and large portions. friendly staff in a local pub vibed position. inexpensive between gastro pub and the kitchen with a higher end, eating and menu is around the same opposite beautiful view from the garden and obviously a place that has improved and continues to improve in the menu, decor and facilities.

Typical pub. Visited twice while we were staying in Mirfield. Staff very friendly on the first visit. When we went back for Sunday lunch was some what different. Took a while to serv the food and staff informed the wrong information. 1st we were told they had GF Yorkshire puddings but when we ordered they didn't. Then the desert we asked about the GF avilabilty and from 3 different staff we were advised a 4 different items. In a hole it's an excellent pub, good selection of food, bar staff very chatty and the bar snacks were great. Sunday lunch was alright but wouldn't put me off coming back. Possible without the wife who requires GF

Tried this pub for the first time yesterday having seen it recommended on local Facebook groups. My friend and I ordered the burgers which includes chips and a free soft drink for just over £12. We both really enjoyed the food, it was plentiful and cooked well. We even found a space for a dessert both opted for the sticky toffee pudding which was also very good for £4.50. The place itself is very spacious and light with having a large conservatory area. As we were there middle of the day on a Wednesday, it was very quiet so we were able to have a good catch up and enjoy our meal in peace. Server attitude bad from the start, pre booked table for 4 6.30 on Sunday, hardly out of hours but yet she said oh ok come on you can sit there un placed table) several others set up already but shoved onto that one. Took drinks order then asked if ok to place food order, no problems then after food orders placed came back and said no Sunday menu left. Reordered and again came back with run out of x and y so can't complete your order but here it is anyway without substitutions or an offer or price reduction.
