The Douglas Bistro - Menu

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Very friendly and helpful staff, great food, decor and views. It'd be difficult to fault The Douglas. We'd recommend it to anyone.

This restaurant is fantastic! The rooms are amazing, the staff is very helpful, and the food is awesome! I especially love the Douglas duck dish. Overall, a great experience and a fun little activity to do.

Lack of coathangers but even so..what a wee gem of a place.. gorgeous and lovely food.. but it's the staff that make a place so attentive friendly and couldn't do enough to make your stay pleasant. We would return

We have just had a wonderful night at The Douglas. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room had magnificent views and was sumptuous. The bathroom was beautiful. I am still stuffed after the breakfast. What a treat.

the garlic, thorny and truffle soup was devine. Unfortunately, the vegan steak thought was a bit bland and blah, but the suppe was so good that it was to fill such big shoes. breakfast in the morning was nice to eat many vegan tasty

Excellent service, fantastic menu, dog friendly and delicious food! Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the Douglas Hotel, we even struggled to decide what to have so will definitely be returning in January when we have a stay in Arran booked!

Had a fab meal whilst waiting for the ferry home. Sat outside in beautiful sunshine enjoying a meal of mussels with a glass of prosecco. The mussels were great, a healthy portion with bread. Service was good and we were made to feel very welcome. A great place to enjoy

We absolutely adore our room with its spacious balcony that offers stunning views of the bay and ferry terminal. The hotel's convenient location, great restaurant, and lively bar make us extremely happy with our choice. The staff is exceptional. Despite staying at hotels that cost five times more per night in various locations around the world, we can confidently say that we prefer The Douglas. We would wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

one of the better evening dinners I had on arran as a vegan. the menu had several marked vegan options. the Brazilian curry is solid, but the vegan steak (which I think there is some kind of VWG bean combination) was particularly good and comes with a vegan pfeffer corn sauce. several nice vegan desert options also included sticky toffee pudding and blancmange. the bistro is a pleasant place to eat and the staff was friendly and helpful. make sure that they present to avoid disappointment (yes beautiful)
