"We popped in for a quick drink and we were gobsmacked at the price ! No wonder it was nearly empty. Ordered a pint of Neck Oil and a glass of wine. They charged us 14.25 ! My hubby who usually pays without question asked if they had it right. Yes that's the price! We have visited this place over the years when staying local and it used to be a nice cosy pub but it's definitely in need of some love. Years ago it was on Four in a bed and it had a great menu and was busy but sadly it seems cold and a bit tatty. Staff were nice but we wouldn't return due to the prices. Even noticed Sunday Lunches were 16.99 hope they are worth the price."

"Hello our stay here from start to finish was lovely, warm greeting, very warm and pleasant, the rooms are lovely, well furnished to high standard. The evening meals are 5 star, and breakfast the same. Staff very helpful and friendly. On site spa and pool was easy to book and use and very relaxing. Covid procedures were to a high level which was comforting. Only one thing which we feel could enhance your stay, the reception area has an area which chairs and takes to reside and relax, on a night it would of been nice to get a seat before or after out meals, and generally no space, because it's a lovely area. If they could expand some how on a relaxing area would be beneficial. May I also thank staff for hoping me with a flower delivery and a bottle of bubbly I'd brought for our 30th wedding anniversary, as a surprise to surprise to my wife, fantastic. Many thanks"

"I live in London in an area with lots of Bengali, Pakistani and South Indian restaurants. I have had poor experiences of using local curry houses round the country. Not this one. The food is freshly cooked and incredibly flavoursome and this goes down to the side dishes and the vegetable sauce served with biriani. We really enjoyed our take away. If you like us are staying in Grassington for a break in the dales you will find there is only one take away food outlet. No worries. It is Rozi tandoori house and it’s excellent"

"Hi, I just wanted to inform you that as regular visitors to the Dales, we always make a point to visit the Fountaine Inn and typically enjoy our meals. However, on our recent visit on the 10th of October at 7:15, my husband was disappointed with his Burrata Salad priced at £16.95. There was no dressing on the salad, despite him informing the waiters twice that it was bland. Nothing was done to address this issue. However, the other meals we had were satisfactory. Overall, we rate the rooms a 5, service a 3, and location a 5. The hotel is also kid-friendly. -J H Johnstone"

"I had a meal at the Black Horse Hotel while I was staying in Grassington. The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere. The staff are very welcoming and provide excellent service. There was a small mistake with the main course order, but it was quickly resolved. The menu offers a variety of options to suit all tastes. I started with the loaded fries, which had a bit too much barbecue sauce for my liking. For the main course, I had the beer battered haddock and chips, which was of excellent quality. Unfortunately, I didn't have room for dessert. I would definitely visit again in the future."
