"In 11 years on this estate I’ve only had one breakfast here and I think it was buffet style then Aug 2015) but can’t be sure. My wife and I had a large breakfast and the kids had 3 X kids breakfasts £3.75). The large breakfasts really are quite huge, 4 sausages, 4 Hash browns, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 eggs, 1 piece of white toast wish they had choice of brown or seeded) and beans. My wife got less beans than the kids for some reason, so not consistent with the sizes, but overall a decent brekkie and the cappuccinos were lovely!! I’m so pleased they allow dogs now, it makes it much more viable to visit."

Terrible Sunday lunch. Roast beef…uneatable. Sunday lunch is all about quality of the meat, especially if it’s beef. Best avoided!

Christmas gone and great to be back to our weekly Carvery at the Copper Beech. Easy parking. Super helpful friendly staff. Choice of 3 meats and great selection of vegetables. Always good to see Paul (D/M),Sue and Chloe.

The meal was lovely but was spoiled by unruly kids running around constantly and shouting. Don't know why the staff didn't say anything to them and the parents. Also people kept opening the doors on a very cold night and smoking outside the doors.

Once again, back at Copper Beech on a Friday during our weekly shopping trip. Once again I have to compliment the staff. The attitude to customers always welcoming. Service quick and with a smile. Been coming for over year now. Hardly missed a week.

When we arrived, it wasn't as busy as usual. We found our own table, noted the number and we went to order at the bar. Roy took our order promptly, very politely and very friendly. We went for the carvery. 3 choices of meat, very clean counter, very quick service and good range of veg etc. Thoroughly recommend a visit, although it was getting really busy by the time we came out

"Where do I even begin? The service from the woman behind the bar was shocking. When I inquired about dairy-free options for my son, I was told that nothing could be modified and that they don't cater to allergies at all! I pointed out the menu's claim that they could accommodate such needs, but my concerns were met with an eye roll. I then tried to order him some chips, but was told they were fried in the same oil as dairy and meat products, and since we are vegetarian, that wouldn't work. I asked about the vegan dishes, only to learn that they are also prepared alongside meat products, so there's no guarantee they would actually be vegan. At this point, my daughters had already become excited about eating out and the play area, so I reluctantly decided to go along with it and ordered three sandwiches on granary bread and a child's fish and chips. My son had a packet of crisps. When the sandwiches arrived, they were absolutely terrible. The cheese and onion sandwich consisted of two slices of cheap store-bought bread, some pre-grated cheese, and a few onion slices—without even a hint of butter! It certainly wasn’t inexpensive; we paid £45 for four soft drinks, three sandwiches, and a child's meal. As for the play area, it was concerning—there were sharp screws poking through the wood chips, loose sharp fixtures on top of the slide, and a large exposed electric cable under the swings! We decided to leave swiftly; it was such a disappointing way to end our holiday, when it should have been a lovely final meal before heading home. I was appalled by their attitude towards me—I felt like an inconvenience. The food was awful, and I genuinely recommend avoiding this place if you are vegan or have allergies; even if a dish is labeled vegan, they certainly don’t take the necessary precautions to keep it separate from meat products. It’s truly unfortunate, as the location by the river is beautiful, and we were all so excited to be there, but we left feeling very disappointed. We definitely won't be returning."
