"The last time visited this pub was getting on 30 years ago. I took a friend for her early birthday meal. My kind of menu, simple yet excellent quality food. Sausage and mash for me and pork chop for my friend, followed by Malva pudding (sticky toffee) and vanilla parfait and lime meringue for me. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff, well done all round. Back in November for my birthday."

absolutely beautiful eating and great country pub atmosphere, welcoming and courteous staff and decent eating in the future, as they were fully booked! it would have been a bit tight to be in the position, out and through the bar/toilets (two long tables immediately left of the bar restaurant). all wonderful!

thanks to the administration of the staff for an absolutely fantastic Christmas meal for 14 pretty loud ladies last night. they were amazing and eating was like always top notch. they are still the best pub in the opposite for eating and atmosphere through a long shot. we all had a great night. I wish you all a great christmas and new year.
