"Curry ideal for anyone that likes hot curries. Everything else was dire. The salt and pepper chicken was essentially a processed chicken tender in a disappointing batter with absolutely no spice. Completely tasteless and in stark contrast to the curry. First time going to this Chinese after moving into the area came because of the really good reviews on here and the fact everyone had been going to “Ken’s” for many, many years. Stick to your usual Chinese if you’re considering something different. Felt as though it was a waste of £25 and won’t be returning."

Been going to Kens for many years now and always first class, consistent food. Always fresh and low salt content so healthier than others. Good old Ken. Best by far for miles

5* Chinese farewell what chips, curry sauce and singapur Chow-My go, there is not much better to find. I know, believe me. crispy chips, tasty sauce and good friend noodles. Bangin’.

Excellent Chinese food. Had my very first Chinese take away from Ken over 40 years ago and still go there since moving out of Chester-le-street. Customer service is also the best and a truly lovely guy.

Been coming to Kens for 40 years now,finest chinese in the land, chicken curry still the best.. Great staff very helpful. Singapore Chow Mein also is gorgeous. Probably the only Chinese take away I know where everyone refers to it as Kens(the owner) as opposed to it's real name Sunrise. Now has his sister helping out on the counter. Great service. Probably tried everything on the menu by now all great and tasty. Looking forward to him opening again think I have Chicken Curry deficit!!
