We booked a table for lunch last Saturday, but when we arrived the pub was closed with no sign explaining why. I was with my elderly parents who are n a care home, so it was really stressful finding another place for lunch at such short notice. We won’t be going to the Avenue again.

This restaurant needs removing from your site as it is no longer open. You are accepting bookings for this but it is CLOSED and has been for some time. We turned up on Sunday for lunch and all doors were locked. and so had to run round different places to try and find a table for lunch. Voir le carte

We arrived to discover that the restaurant was closed for renovations. We were a group of 8 on Easter Sunday and struggled to find another table elsewhere. If you're going to be closed, be sure to deactivate the booking service to avoid disappointing customers and leaving them without a place to dine.

During our three-night stay at The Avenue, we were very well taken care of by the friendly team. The staff even went out of their way to book a taxi for us with a friendly driver from the local area. Although there was no food available in the evenings, the city center was conveniently located nearby. Overall, we would rate the food a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 4.
