Popped into our local and had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Not been for a while for Sunday lunch and it certainly didn’t disappoint. 10/10

Staying locally and found this place on Google maps, thought we'd give it a try. Really glad we did, lovely place, great food and staff so nice. 5 stars all round. Voir le carte

The pub was charming, but unfortunately, my husband received a cold pie, so we sent it back. The replacement pie also turned out to be cold. It was not a good experience. My husband ended up settling for a chili dish, which was okay, but it was still not enough to make up for receiving two cold pies.

Popped in today and chose pie and chips off the menu.. as stated it was a pie from the butchers so expectations were high!... what arrived on the plate was a pukka pie and half cooked chips! The pie was fine as a pukka pie is but please don't state on the menu it's from the butchers when clearly it's not.. very disappointing

The staff at this restaurant is fantastic - so kind and friendly! The place is immaculately clean and very pleasant. The pool table is amazing, and there are plenty of options for seating and dining, or even just enjoying some sun in the lovely beer garden. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends and family, and I can't wait to go back! Voir le carte

The Chef The chef is a real asset not just as long a real chef but also a thoroughly nice guy, could not do enough outstanding hospitality tonight. Came to celebrate best buds birthday. We had the gammon steak omg the portion size was amazing followed by Eton mess and citrus lemon tart .. The staff were lovely but our stand out was the chef popping up asking how we were and worrying we had not been taken care of..didn't get your name but you were such a credit to this pub god bless ya

The pub food was mediocre and the chips were undercooked. The salad seemed questionable as the peppers were slimy. The restaurant could use a thorough cleaning as there were cobwebs around the lights by our table that seemed like they had been there for a long time. The toilets were in poor condition and appeared to have not been cleaned in a while. The dust and dirt buildup around the edges of the cubicle was significant. Despite the friendly and helpful front of house staff, I will not be returning to this establishment anytime soon.

I decided to travel to the Peak district for the weekend on a bit of a solo journey (after a pretty harsh week breaking up with my partner) and found myself stopping in Kings Bromley for a bite to eat as it was getting late. Fortunately they were still serving food at the Royal Oak in Kings Bromley, and I was met with great service from the bar staff and kitchen before ordering a pint and meal on my pit stop. Not only was the food amazing (and a really generous portion) but the chef who served my food was incredibly professional and friendly.
