"Ruenthai is the oldest – and also the most popular Thai restaurant in Hanover – after the Sawaddi disappeared years ago. Looking at the pictures hanging in the stairs with autograph, it is even popular with different sizes of sports entertainment. At noon it is always very full of 12:30, lunch from a small card costs every 7,90 €, including daily changing soup. 0.2 l soft drink 2,10 €, 0.4 for 3,80 €. PLV definitely fits, but the quality of food is unfortunately not constant – but it is – at all my visits(more than 30) over the years, never bad. A la Carte is not possible for lunch - in the evening the selection of the main fairs is significantly larger, also a good selection of different appetizers is in the menu. The welcome will take place in the afternoon, because the service staff really only runs. Kindly yes – partly “asian” reserved. The interior should bring a touch from Thailand to Hanover – it’s easy to “kitschig” for the “typical” German – but Asian Thai seems to like it. The fact that it is the oldest Thai restaurant in Hanover is unfortunately noticeable in many small things in the corners. Instead of the evening, Bas used mats, the laminated lunch cards are on the tables, with Thai cutlery (gardens and spoons). In Thailand is usually eaten with cutlery (except in Indians, Pakis and the other peoples of the Middle East). The dishes are – so I have said from a Thai year, with the spoon “promoted” in the mouth, the fork serves as “Aid” and from him to eat is considered “unhappy rude” in Thailand – can someone of you confirm that? As soup we served a clear, unbound vegetable soup, with fresh herbs (calorie, large-leaf parsley, lemongrass, gallanga root pieces), a pinch of Thai curry red, chicken meat pieces, bamboo strips, a few TK-eerbsen, mushrooms (cheese from the can), all slightly acidified. I seasoned with a sweet soy sauce and very small red inlaid chili. Totally delicious. As main dishes we chose a red and a green curry with chicken (gold plated), with eggplants (not from the small Thai eggplants – which fall victim to the cost of lunch table), some zucchini in the green curry, in the red paprika wig in light colors, then the usual bamboo strips, lemongras basil. Both currys are sharp, the red slightly sweetish-rough in taste, the green has a slightly bitter sharpening touch. I prefer the “red” note, my wife’s green curry. Coconut milk, however, ensures a suitable round taste experience. As already written, there are fluctuations in the quality and quantity of ingredients, in the season. Both curry were tastefully delicious, the amount of meat was good. Cleanliness in the WC area is good, but here too the tooth of time is called. Less beautiful was that some (again) dried rice grains were found on our table (with a narrow side) on a wall. Since we remember the food of the Indian, we found very subjective that the Thai feeds – probably due to spying – are more in the stomach. Here we take a longer break again."
