Can't say how pleasant our lunch was. The service was excellent Thomas), relaxed ambience and delicious food, with flavors that I had not experienced before. Glyn Purnell is not just a lovely man, but has brilliant chefs.

Beautiful food, service and atmosphere. We had a wonderful time! We had the 5 course meal and each course was amazing, the right mix of flavour, texture and visual pleasure. Thank you very much for taking such a good care of us.

What a great evening. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the food being served and any drinks required. The food was amazing! This restaurant has been on our wish list for many years and having finally got there it did not disappoint. Hopefully it won't be as long until we return.

Loved the enthusiasm and knowledge of the sommelier all the way through to the waiting staff. The food was excellent as always, but the attentiveness and small details brought everything together. The only detractor would be that the doors were shut prior to our 7pm booking and were forced to wait elsewhere.

A nice tasting menu. Food was inventive but the explanation was rushed and difficult to understand. The wine pairing was excellent though. My main criticism (of what is sadly becoming a norm in the UK), is the automatic ‘discretionary’ 12.5% tip added i find it in ‘bad taste’ (excuse the pun) to ‘discretionarily’ tell me what to tip!

My husband said it's probably the best meal he ever had! I don't eat meat and the kitchen has changed the 5-course lunch menu happy. Everything was presented beautifully, the staff was knowledgeable and showed enough personality to make the experience fun. We were lucky to meet Glynn Purnell, which made the whole occasion perfect. It was a fantastic, relaxed and error-free experience from start to finish.

Dark and dreary decor in the dining area. Welcoming staff. The amuse bouche of pretend charcoal was imaginative but it wasn 't clear what the reason for the culinary showing off was other than that the chef could do it. Water skiing from the greats into our table sad they were served made us wonder if the fuss was worth it. Food was less special than expected particularly the fish main. A small amount of cod slightly on the wrong side of done. The Jersey Royals were similarly underdone. Our reaction was meh .
