"This visit to the Pulcinella was with friends trying it for the first time. They were very impressed with our choice. We both chose the Lasagna which was a daily special and they chose different pizzas. The pizzas continue to be a great choice, large...with a good sauce and toppings generously applied. The crust is relatively thin, cooked just right. Our lasagna was excellent. The portion large with a delightful sauce. Hot and straight from the oven. The attentive staff of the Pulcinella make a difference in the evening. There when you need them. Reservations are a must. Inside there is room for no more The terrace outside about doubles the capacity but you will need the reservation to be sure of a table outside."

We were at Friday evening. The restaurant was full. We asked to take away pizza for our kid, but they refused us. Not very kindly.

This is a nice, small, family-owned restaurant. The decoration inside makes it a place to almost 'feel at home '. You can get a variety of Italian dishes,...

We made reservations, highly recommended because the place is small. Very nice and polite staff, GREAT menu, specials posted on wall ... quick service with really GOOD food. Pricing was appropriate.

We ate here while trying out the Italian restaurants in the area. The place is cozy and the staff very friendly. The menu was standard Italian cuisine and the execution was quite good. Overall, this is a very good place to eat, but number two...or three on the list of local spots.

As one who has visited Italy a number of times, I have found the best Italian food can be found in Germany. Pulcinella is one place in Germany for superb Italian food, great ambiance and value. I have been to this restaurant many times the...past two years, and I was not disappointed.

Unfortunately, in many pizzerias in Germany I had to make the unpleasant experience, that waiters ignore you when you would like to order or pay. Not so in Pulcinella. Our waiter was a real pleasure. Friendly and attentive but not obtrusive. I almost forgot to...mention that the food was great. If you plan to eat here you should reserve in advance. We were the first guests when they opened for lunch and the remaining tables filled up within minutes. Pulcinella is a great place to be connected with a visit at the botanical gardens of the nearby university of Hohenheim.

I was so looking forward to eating a proper italian pizza. I ordered a quattro stagioni with no ham, one came with salumi (which I hadn't asked for), came with ham (which I had clearly said I didn't want. Finally, the real thing...came after minutes of waiting and it tasted like absolute rubbish. This is an embarrassment to be even called a pizza, it's an insult to the beautiful italian food. Anyway, I only ate one slice of that, then asked for my bill. I paid and even left a tip! So believe me, this is as genuine a review as they come. Extremely disappointed as I've lived in Italy for over years and I definitely know what an authentic Italian pizza tastes like.

"Wow. Simply Awesome! Best dining experience my wife and I have had in several years, probably top all time, and we are real foodie snobs. They squeezed us in with only a couple hours notice. We got the course menu paired with wine....Little did we know that six courses in metric means First came the amouse bouse, a frothy chicken soup plus a croquette topped with dried mushrooms. Paired with wine of course. Then came a home made freshly baked baguette that was crazy delicious served with a dish of sour cream and chives as well as butter with pumpkin seeds. The bread was so good it could have been its own course, and the sour cream was the first of many unusual com I nations, but it worked. Next was a salad a combination of beet root, cabbage, Thai coconut milk and lemon grass. I hate beets and I loved this dish. Next wa the first actual course, duck liver pate and brioche with figs and wine sauce. Amazing! Now how about some slow cooked trout (which strongly resembled salmon) with tangerines and celery root. Then some white cod with Jerusalem artichokes and hazel nuts. Then, to cleanse the palate a glass of deer broth served in a glass like a brandy snifter. We're only halfway through. Now it's a slab of deer meat cooked like a tender steak, served with a cannelloni stuffed with deer and all set over mashed parsley root that could have passed as mashed potatoes. All garnished with an amazing deer gravy/sauce. Next comes some mont d'or cheese served with house made fruit bread, oranges, and rutabaga. Crazy com o but it was delicious. Now for dessert courses. Red wine sorbet. Think you're done? Next comes white chocolate ice cream serve with quince (purée, cubes, and foam) served with a chestnut parfait. Now we're stuffed, but time for another dessert: creme brulee paired with a chocolate brownie and a serving of mango mousse. Crazy good."
