"Ok, this is not typical restaurant for Hannover, this is more Bavarian style. However, food was lovely big portions, home-style fried potatoes with bacon, sauce, big chunk of meat. What else would you need really. I do not know I can see there were some...negative reviews but I do not see any issues with this place. At the end for huge plate of pork with sides and salads eur to really feed people, you can not complaint. Beer is nice and fresh and TV on with football! Try it, there is not much around this area anyway."

tonight (for the third time) with a colleague and very enjoyed our meal and drinks, very recommended when they visit the opposite.

eating is bavarianic and rustic. and tasty. small area to sit outside, which is beautiful when the sun seems. they have a minimum when they pay with the card.

As mentioned the outside is nothing spectacular but the inside is warm and inviting. The draft beer is inexpensive euros for a half liter and the food was great. I had the special white asparagus soup and and the fried trout from the...menu both great. Luckily its across the street from the ACHAT Premier hotel so perfect and will return tomorrow to explore the menu furher.

Visited P W with colleagues after a full day of business meeting. I as surprised to find this Bavarian style restaurant packed on a Monday night! It took a while to get the food, but it was definitely worth waiting for. The personnel was also...despite the circumstances very friendly and made their best to keep the service level up. If you fancy Bavarian food and beer in a cosy atmosphere, check this one out...

While staying for one night near the Hannover airport to catch a flight in the morning we were looking for good traditional German food to wrap up our visit in Germany. The location isn't outstanding but the restaurant was fantastic. Very friendly atmosphere, clean modern...but traditional design. Good selection of local specialties cooked to perfection and great service. The beer selection was also good and the service was outstanding!

Sometimes you just get lucky. The Barrels with a table that comfortably sit and a little tighter with were still outside this week and empty. So our party of had a comfortable, heated, space outside the restaurant where we enjoyed Paulaner beverages...and the delicious lunch specials. It was an experience that delighted us. The staff was wonderful and the chef helpful in making sure that one dish was onion-free. If you are there at lunchtime, go ahead and pick from the lunch menu. It is cheaper and really great.
