Great ales, lovely food, friendly staff. They managed to fit all 22 of us in for a light lunch, after a grueling walk up Little Hangman.

Great friendly service in an amazing place with lots of history. Food was lovely, the setting is wonderful, staff went out of their way to welcome us. Absolutely well worth a visit. The rooms looked great too.

We were first at the carvery on a Sunday. You could not help yourself and portions served were pretty small without asking for more. The gravy was a packet mix and the overall quality was disappointing for the price to be honest.

We stayed overnight here it is a lovely place. We had dinner that was excellent also breakfast was really good too. The room and bathroom was very nice. Very clean. This is a very old building so there are a few quirky things going on but it adds to the atmosphere. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Fully recommend. Voir le carte

Stayed very close to this pub and visited quite a few times for drinks and food. The pub has a big beer garden and a separate conservatory for eating in, the pub section is quite small but allows dogs and children. The range of drinks is very good and the food selection is quite varied as well with the food being of good quality and the Sunday carvery being very good. The staff are really friendly and if you just want a quiet drink this is the place for you

I stayed in Combe Martin 40years ago, but never got the chance to visit the pub. So, passing through I had to stop, from what I remember, there are 52 windows one for each card of the pack . The welcome was tepid . When I asked for a dimpled handle , I was informed there is only one and I couldn 't take it outside ! . Nevertheless, my pint of Dartmoor legend ' was a good temperature and an average price. On our way out, a couple were having possibly the biggest pie and burger I have ever seen, so I assume portions are ample.

We phoned on a wet Sunday and were lucky enough to get a table for the Sunday Carvery. I was slightly concerned at being asked to pay for the meal before I had even sat at the table, and I also found it odd that we were unable to add drinks to our bill (you have to go to the bar and pay for those separately). We decided to stick with it and I'm very glad we did because the meal itself was superb! A choice of three different meats, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and probably ten different varieties of vegetable gave plenty of choice. My wife had beef and turkey, while I had just beef and without a doubt it was one of the best roast lunches either of us have ever had. Everything was perfectly coo... Voir le carte
