"Stunning food. Every single dish was absolute perfection. Incredibly fresh fish. The tasting menu is great as it meant I could try several different fish. (I'm unable to eat lobster and so had a lovely piece of red mullet instead. I couldn't pick a favourite dish. They were all equally delicious, for different reasons. The Greek wine complemented the fish perfectly. The Cornish limoncello was equally lovely. You have to go. "Incredibly overpriced for food which was ok at best. Octopus was overcooked, but rest was ok, but the biggest issue was the menu was ill conceived. Tapas style plates at main meal prices. No carbohydrates on the menu other than chips and a serious of fairly strongly flavoured dishes which overwhelm the natural flavour of what should be fresh seafood and produce an incoherent meal."

"Fantastic food, and ridiculously good cakes! We've actually driven 120miles just to go for a morning at the beach and lunch here. It's really fairly priced too, a meal for 4 adults and 2 kids, with drinks set us back just under £60. All the food is so tasty and locally sourced where possible. In our family it has become the bench mark for other restaurants to be compared to, and they're never quite as good as the Trevathan taste and quality, which is a real shame as it means we have no places to eat in our own area that we want to go and eat at. Very friendly towards children unlike many restaurants, loads of outdoor equipment for various ages of children, electric tractors on a circuit, some electric diggers and a massive snake slide. There's a huge assortment of high quality gifts too in the farmshop so grabbing something for friends, family or the neighbour whose fed your cat while your away on holiday is easily taken care of. It doesn't really matter what your doing in Cornwall or where your going, anyone with a stomach should make a point of stopping by here for lunch, they also do breakfast, which is outstanding, top notch sausages and fresh eggs from the farm."

"Had a meal for the four of us; loved it. It’s a quirky place that demands pre booking, and rightly so. Great food, very clean and friendly staff. We only had pizzas, we didn’t try any sides but the pizzas were just top dollar; (hopefully I’ve successfully weaned my family off of stupid big chain horrors at long last). I wish they had more capacity but then perhaps that’ll detract from the atmosphere. If you’re nearby, book and enjoy. Oh, they don’t just automatically add a service charge so please make sure they get the tips they deserve: service is second to none."

"Must be the worst customer experience I have received in over 70 years. Having ordered drinks for my wife, son, daughter-in- law and 3 grand-daughters things went downhill from there! Four drinks were served first, after waiting another 5 mins we informed the waitress that we were still awaiting 3 further drinks. Eventually 2 more drinks arrived but my 7 year old grand- daughters hot chocolate still did not arrive. We again informed the waitress who looked at me as if this was to much trouble. When the hot chocolate did arrive it contained marshmallows, even though we had requested none due to my grand- daughters being Muslim, so not eating anything with pork. This went down like a lead balloon as the waitress was obviously put out from her reaction! My wife then spoke to the owner who instead of appologising blamed everybody else and was extremely rude and offensive to her. The owner urgently needs to enrol for a customer relations course or may end up losing his business."

"I loved the cauliflower and aubergine curry yesterday complete with linseedahl, flatbread and rice. I am just so grateful that I can order a curry that does not contain cocos or cocos milk. the taste was delicious. we are rarely disappointed by the food. I also know that we can order an alternative chips if they are on the menu with a dish. I can also recommend the toad in the hole. Sunday dinners are good, but not surprisingly it is busy at the weekend."
