"Really disappointed with the food here my third visit in a couple of weeks (no other options open), so had hoped it was a one off, but clearly not. Vegan option of feta, rocket and olive salad was £12.95. Asked for without olives they took away some, but left those on the bottom. No vegan feta (which is very easy to buy), just a few ripped up bits of sliced vegan cheese. I'd guess one tomato, couple of bits of cucumber, and what seemed like bagged salad (the type with all the end bits that taste awful). Tasteless, cheap ingredients and no presentation. A few nuts and seeds, some apple, would have helped a lot, but it was clearly just thrown together. Dreadful. Asked for no chocolate on cappuccino came with chocolate on top. Friend has a similar disappointing option. As others have said, no one at any point asked how the meal was, not at the table or when paying."

The sun was shining so it was a lovely spot to have breakfast, but don’t leave your food unattended as Hamish the seagull will swoop down. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were good. Went back several times during our stay.

Looked forward to breakfast on recent trip to Stonehaven but disappointed. Long wait for food to arrive although offered more drinks which of course adds to cost. Pancakes tasted slightly greasy and very small portion of berries/yogurt. Scrambled eggs and mushrooms ok. Nice place and staff pleasant.

My husband and I had a very tasty lunch here on the way to Aberdeen for an anniversary mini break. I was delighted to be able to have a wee cider too most similar cafes don't seem to have this option! Staff were friendly and the service was good. The cafe was clean, covid rules were adhered to and the decor was fun! The fantastic views didn't hurt either!

We stopped by Molly’s on our first night in Stonehaven. We got the Lemon Sole and Battered Fish and Chips. The Sole was excellent and the battered haddock was crisp with a buttery consistency on the inside. Our only small complaint was the chips being a bit overdone, but that may be the local preference for all we know. Service was excellent and the venue is cozy and inviting.

I’m not usually one for leaving poor reviews but in this case I wouldn’t be doing the owners any favours by not posting this. If they continue to send out such an appalling standard of overpriced breakfasts then they’ll be out of business before they know it. Supposedly ‘Poached eggs’ that were harder than hard boiled eggs. Hollandaise sauce that either had too much butter or had separated. Worst of all was the traditional breakfast which most ingredients had been deep fried!!! Deep fried potato scones, bacon and haggis. Just awful. I’m afraid we won’t be back until reviews improve.

"We were pleased to get a last minute booking for lunch on a Saturday and on arrival were happy with their covid measures. A nice bright restuarant and we had a lovely view but that was luck as only 1 great window.Went for the lunch menu which is good value but noted for the a la carte still only 3 mains and a special which felt a little limiting perhaps just a consequence o the pandemic.Drinks arrived promptly with some bread which was a little dry.Staters we had a ham hock terrine (came with a pickled onion despite me saying did not want onions with main and not being listed) however it was pleasant and enjoyed the prune giving sweetness egg yolk dots did not offer much however. Hubby had gravalax with beetroot which was pleasant enough. For mains hubby had sea bass which was perfectly cooked but my rolled pork shoulder was a little disappointing (this time served with a charred spring onion despite the no onion request). It was a bit chewy and not enough of the fat either cooked off or removed. The polenta lacked the advertised parmesan flavour but was very crispy and the confit carrot tasty.Desserts we had the rice pudding which was yummy with cinnamon and apple but whilst the banana cake was tasty and moist it was fridge cold when warm would have been so much better. The chocolate sorbet served on the side was nice enough but not as expected as it was light suggesting perhaps a milk or drinking chocolate when I expected something darker anyway for those who remember tasted a bit like a mini milk lolly!Fudge with coffee seemed wrong in Scotalnd we prefer tablet but there you go. Last gripe was £4.20 for a double espresso seemed steep compared to other charges.Overall it was ok but little tweaks could make significant difference. Now one thing they can do nothing about but worth knowing and please take care is how uneven the steps were. We were lucky it was a dry day and I'm only 48 but they really felt worrying."
