"Always drive by this restaurant on the way to the boat. Had an evening sailing so decided to finally drop in. There was about 18 people in the place and it was about 4:30pm. This place would do much better if they communicated with their customers. It was blatantly obvious that the kitchen was backed up with orders. Instead of telling us the waitresses just ignored us. It was clear that we had picked what we wanted from the menu. About 25 mins gone by and all they had done was take a drink order. Eventually a waitress came over and took our order. My wife ordered the chicken breast and was immediately to quite rashly by the waitress that the waiting time for a chicken breast would be very long. After being ignored by the waitress’s and then being hit with that attitude from our server I decided to leave. The waitress then made the offer of “I can get the chef to make you takeaway nachos if you want” Did she actually think I was going from sit down meal to eating nachos in my car?? I then said we’ll just leave. Only to still be charged £8.75 for an orange juice with lemonade and a glass of wine. I very much doubt that the waitresses can even spell customer service let alone provide it. Won’t be back. Fortunately we found a better restaurant a few miles down the road. It’s a shame as we always wanted to try this place but the staff need some training."

Had a fantastic meal here, and it was very reasonably priced. Lovely soup, absolutely amazing cajun chicken curry, and a delightful Eton mess. Nice atmosphere, very friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommended. Voir le carte

En route to Newton Stewart, we called in here for lunch. The decor is very fresh and pleasing. The food is wow! The chicken curry was beautifully presented and full of flavours. The black pudding and poached egg Caesar salad was wonderful. Drop in if you’re passing by!

Consider myself a bit of a foodie. Had to go for the steak pie and it was outstanding. So tender it was near pulled beef. Great flavour and loved the way it was done. Fish platter was a feast. Booked a table to celebrate my wife's birthday turned up on time. No table available asked to wait outside drinks order took over 10 minutes to arrive with wrong drink. Table became available first thing we where told was what was missing from the menu. Decided to leave without eating Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Last Thursday evening, my husband and I had a wonderful experience at this delightful, country restaurant. My husband said that the gambas pil pil starter was the tastiest he had had. My steak was cooked to perfection with peppercorn sauce on the side. What struck us was the happy atmosphere. Every member of staff had a lovely, welcoming smile and made sure that we were well-attended. Full marks for value for money!
