"Friendly staff,very good prawn crackers rice both boiled and fried were clean and well cooked. 3 of the items were good sadly the king prawn curry lacked flavour .I hope this was a one off.the place was clean and well maintained. We will try it again"

"Definitely one of the best eateries in North Aberdeenshire. Good vegetarian food is hard to find in this area, so to have a section at the back of the menu for vegetarian and vegan options is very rare. Many of their dishes are available with an alternative to the meat or fish ingredients, giving a wide choice for the non-meat eater (and, I would guess, allergy sufferer). The tapas-style small plates option is also a bonus. Pricing is normal for this part of the world. I'm used to paying much less, but given that many places around here can charge £15 for a plain vegeburger and chips, The Rustic Grill offers a tasty meal at a competitive price."

"Post lockdown visit, while in Turriff for a few days with Motorhome, local campsite well worth a visit ! We had an early evening meal at the bistro. Very tasty and while managing post lockdown requirements staff were engaging and helpful. Good menu excellent food and a great change from cooking will definitely be back , wishing them all the best in this new norm we’re all experiencing."

"This was our first visit to the restaurant after it was recommended by a local. We were impressed by the beautiful decor and excellent service. The exterior of the White Heather appeared ordinary, but once we walked through the door, we were greeted by a beautiful, bright, modern, and clean interior. The menu selection was impressive, and we both decided to try the three cheese macaroni, which the waitress confirmed was a great choice. The dish came with garlic bread, pommes, homemade coleslaw, and garden broom. We also enjoyed a bottle of inexpensive Malbec with our meal. As we were short on time, we decided to order the sticky toffee pudding and lemon tart to take away. Before we left, the hotel manager came to speak with us about our positive experience and mentioned that there was an even larger seating area on the ground floor with the same level of elegance. We assured him that we would definitely return, as our visit had been excellent."

"We live just outside Fyvie and tried the local chip shop the fish was refried as were the brown chips revolting…..We then tried Skippers beautifully crisp cooked fish and the chips were fluffy on the inside crisp on the outside with no brown in them and piping hot absolutely gorgeous the staff were lovely and friendly my favourite chipper"
