Market Tavern - Menu

It’s our favourite place to visit for food on our visits to Alnwick . We’d definitely recommend the surf and turf . Always friendly staff. Looking forward to returning on our next Alnwick visit.

The food was so delicious that we ended up eating at this restaurant two nights in a row. The menu had a great variety of options and the service was exceptional. The burger was by far the best I have ever had!

I have visited this restaurant several times while on vacation and the food is exceptional. I wish we lived closer so we could dine here more often. Every meal we had was delicious and the service was also very good.

We had a wonderful dining experience at the Market Tavern. Despite not eating meat, we still enjoyed the delicious fish and appetizer. It was one of the best meals we've had in England this week. We highly recommend it.

Nice meal but the tavern itself was a bit grotty with sticky tables. The food was very good and the staff pleasant Can recommend the shepherds pie. I thought the prices were a bit steep considering the overall state of tired decor and ambiance

We picked this because it was near Alnwick castle and it was easy to get to, had a good ambience and vibe, and the food was excellent. I got the chorizo macaroni cheese and it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. Chips were more like potato wedges but still good. A great place for food or just relaxing with drinks

Visited alnwick for a 2 nite break, got insider info from locals about this place, we ate the first day, just light snacks which were great, some so we returned the same days for dinner, we has the chateaubriand for 2 which was great, couldn't fault it, this place is well worth a visit whenever in alnwick, we'll done to the staff.

Just had a lovely meal here. We hadn't booked but were welcomed in. The menu was extensive we both found something we wanted. Allergies are respected catered for. We were served by really friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Food was hot, fresh delicious. Will definitely return next time we're in the area.

Ate here on Sunday evening, as not much else available. Booked table wasn't ready at time booked Fish and chips long black hair cooked into batter on fish. Replaced, more batter than fish. Sirloin and veg. Sirloin was tough and couldn't have had a thinner slice. Don't pay £1 more for this. Front of house staff were OK, and did remove the cost of fish and chips from bill.
