The food at this restaurant is excellent! I love that they offer half sizes. There is a wide variety to choose from and everything is made fresh (you can really taste the difference!) Eight of us went to Lucano to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meal and they also catered for my wife who is gluten intolerant. I would definitely recommend Lucano to anyone looking for authentic Italian food in Kirkwall. I visited here whilst on a road trip for a wee bite to eat. I just wanted a small snack so ordered a bacon egg ciabatta which I can quite honestly say was possibly one of the best butties I've had in a long time, the bacon was perfectly cooked as was the egg which was hard and not runny, just as we had requested.
