"Although the food at the restaurant was delicious, the service was unfortunately lacking. We felt forgotten, ignored, and spoken to rudely, with mistakes in our orders and a lengthy wait for our starter. There was no visible manager on duty, and the delivery/takeaway coordinator was loud and intrusive in the middle of the restaurant. It seemed that the restaurant prioritized takeaways over dine-in customers, as there were only 5 tables occupied during our visit. When it came time to pay, we chose not to pay the optional service charge, which was not handled well. Overall, we were disappointed by our experience and would not recommend this restaurant as a dining venue. Despite the good food, the lack of professionalism and a text message debate over payment issues left us feeling frustrated."

we have often eaten in the lemongrass in the evening and always enjoy our meal. However, we haven't tried the lunch tapas yet and wow it was good. possibly is the most pleasant lunch we had, as eating was error-free and at £13.95pp inclusive drink is great worth.

We went to a group birthday party lunch and the food was amazing. Having lived in Thailand, we found that the restaurant serves very authentic Thai cuisine and the service was great. The menu is extensive and we will definitely be coming back. I have posted some pictures of our meal.

Went here for dinner with a group of friends. The restaurant was virtually empty apart from our group but it was a Thursday evening. I had prawn toast as a starter and duck paradise with sticky rice as a main course. That with one drink came to just under £30 so whilst the food was good I felt it was overpriced. However I would probably go here again.

I was in a hurry to eat some lunch, because the parking space on the other side of the street is just an hour. the staff was very friendly and the food was quickly served. it's great that it wasn't busy, there was only one other family to eat. the food was very tasty, the meat was tender, I had some cocosé and coconut dishes. the price was ok. recommend this place 10/10 will go again.

I have always considered the food at this restaurant to be of higher quality compared to other local Thai restaurants, which is why I was willing to pay the higher prices. However, as someone who lived in Thailand for two years and ate authentic Thai cuisine every day, I was disappointed by the lack of atmosphere at this restaurant. The tables were bare with no candles or flowers, and there was no authentic decor or staff uniforms. The presence of a portable gas fire in the restaurant did not help create a pleasant dining experience; it felt more like a takeaway venue with a few tables. I believe the same food served in a different environment would have tasted much better.

"We go to Gravetye 3 or 4 times a year if we can and have been going for many many years over the tenures of several owners. It 's always a complete joy, and the current owner has done a fabulous job of getting the right people in, both inside and out. Tom Coward, the Head Gardener (ex. Dixter) has a vision and a long term plan that make continual visits over an extended period a joy every time we visit we are surprised by the continual changes we learn so much and the garden staff are super helpful and willing to discuss what they 're up to and why. The amazing oval massive kitchen garden that supplies the hotel is a source of wonderment and not to be missed. A visual and culinary feast. We 've never stayed there as we live reasonably close, but have eaten in both the old and new dining rooms many times. The new dining room sits harmoniously between the wings of the manor and although a very modern glass and steel construction, the inclusion of a fabulous antique (and uneven) parquet floor (ex. some french chateau) softens the feel and acoustics, making the room almost intimate. The floor to ceiling windows bring you right into the garden, even in the foulest of weather it 's a triumph of design. Then there 's the food. Apart from the presentation, which is exquisite, the flavours and textures always bring a broad grin, however grumpy I am! This is absolutely first rate British cuisine; the kitchen under Head Chef George Blogg is to be commended, as are the garden staff producing the freshest of produce. I occasionally try to photograph the plates, but invariably find I 've forgotten that rather crass move and have just launched in! Must also mention the front of house staff. Perfectly presented and mannered, they know exactly the boundary between staff and guest and make you feel completely comfortable and relaxed there is nothing stuffy or obsequious about Gravetye everything is pitched just spot on and nothing is too much trouble. We were there today for a birthday treat, but will be back again soon for a post family wedding get together. Cannot recommend too highly just an excellent few hours, whatever the weather. Walkability: Lots of paths. The lower areas are easy for those with limited mobility, however it might be tricky to get up to the kitchen garden if you 're not great on your feet. Food drinks: See my review."
