"Went to the restaurant yesterday while on a business trip. When my colleague and i arrived at the restaurant we were greatly warming and given out pick of the available tables. After been given appropriate time to look through both the drinks and the food menu our order was taken by the warm waiting staff.Provided with our Thai prawn crackers and fiery but sweet chilli sauce we were given our starters of duck spring rolls and chicken satay. The spring rolls were served with a lovely hoi sin sauce and although deep fried were so fresh and you could taste everything that was in them. The side salad with the addition of some finely shredded chill added to the dish perfectly. The chicken satay skewers were moist and succulent and served with the same side salad and a delicious freshly made satay sauce. On the the main course which we both had with the BEST coconut rice we have ever had. it was sticky and sweet just the way it should be. The first main course was the specialty duck curry with tropical fruit. The fruit went perfectly with the fiery yet coco-nutty curry and the rice absorbed all the sauce to make the perfect plateful, The second main was the beef stir fry with ginger and garlic, again the beef was so succulent and tasty. In both main courses even though they included strong flavors you could taste ever ingredient and it was as fresh and ziggy as could be."

Very nice food, good portions and good price but service average. Need to lower the incoming phone as it's very load in the main restaurant

We were in the area on business and ordered the food there 4 days in a row! The food was tasty and the service was excellent! The staff were very accommodating to our requests. Highly recommend!

After a day playing golf we popped into this Thai restaurant. We all ordered different starters and green curries. It was delicious, food was fresh and promptly served to the table. The curry had a nice hot kick to it. Would return. Voir le carte

that was the service. 3 tables and not a lot happening. I ordered some shots at the bar 2 tequila 1 rum and 1 sambuca repeated it 4 times and even pointed it out how many of each and still it went wrong. Food was good nothing special I think it's typical European version of Thai food and no real Thai dessert.

We visited this Thai restaurant a few weeks ago and have been a number of times since! The food is amazing and we now travel to this restaurant over other Thai restaurants including another Lemongrass which is closer to us purely because of the amazing food! The restaurant has always been clean, tidy and the tables always set up lovely! The staff are amazing as well! Can not recommend this place enough!

Visited tonight last minute and had a delicious meal, fresh, plentiful and full of flavour. The service was excellent and really friendly. There was a customer who was rude and disrespectful but the girls just smiled and carried on and tried really hard to please but he was just unpleasant. I want to say a big thank you for all your hard work and certainly recommend this restaurant. We have been several times at it never disappoints. Voir le carte

We ordered for 2 people on a Saturday evening at 6.30 . My wife asked when placing the order how long this was likely to take and was told my the lady on the phone that it would be around 45-60 minutes. After an hour she called to see how much longer it would be . the first follow up call was answered and then the phone was hung up . On the second attempt the lady answering must have recognised our telephone number as she knew our names and said the driver left 3 minutes ago and would come straight to us.We waited. And waited . Finally at just before 8.30 the food arrived ! It wasn't very warm either. I like the food here but I don't like being misled or lied to . I might eat in the restaura...

Booked a table at the restaurant for a meal just prior to Christmas because our usual Thai restaurant (Bangkok Brasserie was shut for the evening. On entering the restaurant we were just pointed to a table without any welcome whatsoever which was not a great starting point. We ordered wine and my friend asked for some water but was never given any. Both me and my friend love Thai food so we were hopeful we would enjoy the food if not the welcome. Sadly the starters turned up, one vegetarian tempura and one duck spring rolls both were horribly greasy and in the case of the tempura, some bits seemed way undercooked. We were not provided with any crackers as we would ordinarily expect to receive...

"We go to Gravetye 3 or 4 times a year if we can and have been going for many many years over the tenures of several owners. It 's always a complete joy, and the current owner has done a fabulous job of getting the right people in, both inside and out. Tom Coward, the Head Gardener (ex. Dixter) has a vision and a long term plan that make continual visits over an extended period a joy every time we visit we are surprised by the continual changes we learn so much and the garden staff are super helpful and willing to discuss what they 're up to and why. The amazing oval massive kitchen garden that supplies the hotel is a source of wonderment and not to be missed. A visual and culinary feast. We 've never stayed there as we live reasonably close, but have eaten in both the old and new dining rooms many times. The new dining room sits harmoniously between the wings of the manor and although a very modern glass and steel construction, the inclusion of a fabulous antique (and uneven) parquet floor (ex. some french chateau) softens the feel and acoustics, making the room almost intimate. The floor to ceiling windows bring you right into the garden, even in the foulest of weather it 's a triumph of design. Then there 's the food. Apart from the presentation, which is exquisite, the flavours and textures always bring a broad grin, however grumpy I am! This is absolutely first rate British cuisine; the kitchen under Head Chef George Blogg is to be commended, as are the garden staff producing the freshest of produce. I occasionally try to photograph the plates, but invariably find I 've forgotten that rather crass move and have just launched in! Must also mention the front of house staff. Perfectly presented and mannered, they know exactly the boundary between staff and guest and make you feel completely comfortable and relaxed there is nothing stuffy or obsequious about Gravetye everything is pitched just spot on and nothing is too much trouble. We were there today for a birthday treat, but will be back again soon for a post family wedding get together. Cannot recommend too highly just an excellent few hours, whatever the weather. Walkability: Lots of paths. The lower areas are easy for those with limited mobility, however it might be tricky to get up to the kitchen garden if you 're not great on your feet. Food drinks: See my review."
